this show continues to fall further and further IMO. I barely even laughed tonight and it was just beyond predictable.

The only giggle I got tonight was when drama was walking on the set with the new cap and the shades.

Come on theres a whole plot developing between Eric and Vincent as to whether or not Eric is giving good advice in terms of Vincents career. Theres some good struggle developing there. The development of Lloyd and Aris relationship has been great, and Drama and Turtle are still hilarious. Man, I still laugh out loud at this show. Wheres the hate coming from???

At first it was irritating to watch Bobby refer to Eric as "suit," but as this storyline's progressed, you get the sense the writers are letting Eric evolve into exactly that.

the last episode was decent, and the relationship between E and Vince has gotten more interesting, but again, could the Drama/Turtle stuff be any more predictable if they tried?

and just because people don't think the show is as good as it used to be doesn't mean they're "hating on it", but as usual, on a message board, even a freaking TV message board, people apparently can only see in black and white, rather than shades of grey.

DUDE! Someone totally peed in your cornflakes. Lighten up, just a touch. otherwise you wouldnt get to relish your role as defender of all things non-prejudicial. Unless of course we're talking about Robert Sarver...

uh, was there really a reason to get personal like you did above, on a TV Show message board no less? All I said was I didn't understand the black and white thinking you see on message boards and you come back with some personal jabs and for some reason bring up things from other message boards? jeez, maybe you should take your own advice.

Damn Cheese, I know one cant be expected to read emotion into posts, but I figured you and I have had enough interaction that you can smell funnin when you read it. Hell, I thought you WAY overreacted to my original call of hatin (which was a total joke by the way) and so I continued the ruse. Normally you're more on point so I figured the peeing in the cornflakes bit would let you know im just havin a little fun. But since it was lost. Ill let it drop.

HOWEVER, if you want to argue that you DON'T always seem to relish playing the role of the great non-prejudicial poster, Ill disagree with you whole heartedly. Don't drop the "getting personal" card. Its not getting personal. Calling you names is getting personal. Calling out tendencies of personality is simply making observation.

probably one of the funniest episodes of the entire series. even though nothing happened career wise, it was just a really well-written, hysterical show.

I have to agree. The furry part of the episode was great.

Hilarious! I was going to come here and agree with Cheese about how I now see the falloff, and that cheese is right about Drama and Turtle just becoming charactures of themselves, and here's cheese, full of praise.

I still love the show, laughed my arse off last night, but its not what it was a season ago...

I have a feeling Turtle's going to become an important character when the tension between Eric and Vince gets cranked up. Don't know how, but I know Turtle's role as group glue will be tested.

Just seems like they're taking forever to get to that point. Drama's the character that needs a purpose. They either redirect him or send him down the Hollywood rabbit hole and turn his life into a circus. Always thought it would be funny to have Drama get fired from his current show or have it canceled, just so they could cast him in a weekly sci-fi production. Now that would challenge Drama's since of coolness, and he'd have a fanbase all his own ... geeky fanboys.

Drama at a sci-fi convention. Very nice.

Most scenes that Eric Murphy is in are painful for me to watch, it is probably just me but that guy bugs.

The scene last week where he was flirting with the english chick was especially painful. I had to keep flipping channels until that scene was over.

after four seasons, i still can't figure something out. Do they write Eric to be unlikable on purpose? If not, is Kevin Conolly just a bad actor? And if he's not a bad actor, is he just the only poorly-writtn character on the show? It's really weird, but EVERYONE else on the show is really likable, even the ego-maniacal Billy, and extremely well-written, but I don't know anyone who actually likes Eric's character.

I actually like the Eric character. He's been responsible for keeping Vince grounded, and now we're seeing where Eric's a bit to comfortable expressing his opinion ... and is starting to develop Hollywood-itis.

I don't think we're supposed to like Eric. I think we're supposed to resent Eric for not letting Vince go off and a live the crazy life so we can really have a voyeuristic experience.

I think we are supposed to reluctantly like him.

He's ok...I was happy he got to make time with Pete Jackson. I'm only interested in his business storyline though...his lovelife I could not care less about.

This may have been mentioned before but the July 23rd issue of Sports Illustrated had an article on Matt Leinart and how he is compared to the fictional Vincent Chase and seldom goes anywhere without his own entourage.

It said that Matt laughs about the parallels with his favorite TV show and that some NFL executives blamed Matt's hollywood image for his drop in the draft.

If so thank you Hollywood.
