And now, happily, it is a moot point. Bledsoe is no longer the best player on the Suns, thanks to the arrival of Tyson Chandler.

That should take pressure off our dual-tweener backcourt. I just hope they can muster the skill to feed Chandler and Len regularly.

Have you watched Tyson Chandler? I know you said you don't watch other teams and barely catch Suns games nowadays. He's not that type of offensive player. You don't feed a guy like Chandler. Plays aren't run for him, and haven't in a long, long time, if ever (maybe his early years in Chicago?). This opinion is mind-boggling to me, and I would expect anybody singing the praises of a player to understand what type of player he is.

Len is also not a guy you want to force feed at this juncture- hopefully that will change over time. Chandler is good at finding a lane for an alley-oop if his defender gets a little distracted.

does BC's comment about feeding Chandler really surprise you? He just looks at whether guys are 7 feet or not. Even Chandler himself doesn't expect to be fed the ball and if this team actually TRIED to do so, their offense would be horrendous. He's an ace defender when healthy and that's what he brings to the table. BC would know that if he knew anything outside of Suns basketball, but as he said, he doesn't follow basketball outside their bubble.

I mean, even suggesting that Chandler now is the BEST player on the team just goes to show you how little basketball BC watches. That statement has absolutely zero basis in any fact.

If scoring were the only criteria, Chandler can be effective in the pick and roll.

Last year he averaged a double-double, 10.3 ppg and 11.5 boards, in 30 minutes. What Suns fan would not be happy with that performance, taking the pressure off Len to develop into the same type of player?

Alongside Aldridge or a player like him, Tyson brings a lot more than scoring to the team, as I cited six posts ago in this thread.

He doesn't have to score 20 a night to change the perception of the Suns and help make his teammates better in a variety of ways.

Because I don't watch other teams' games and even stopped watching Suns games when the baseball season started because their roster was so lame and it was so frustrating only heightens my appreciation of what McDonough has been planning behind the scenes.

Signing Tyson Chandler made a loud statement to the rest of the NBA. And to the fans. Like myself.

Don't rain on my parade, huh. At my age, I feared that I would never see my Suns turn the corner.

That's great, and I'm also happy that we have him. I've liked him for a long, long time, and wish we could have paired him with Amare back in the day. But BC, if you're expecting the team to feed Chandler, you're gonna have a bad time.

as are we when he inevitably posts that he needs to be fed over and over and over again, without ever understanding his game and why he was brought here.

i think it's a good signing... shores up the D, brings leadership, but Chandler knows what his role has always been in the league and it ain't to be someone fed on the post. maybe once in a while on pick and rolls, but that ain't his bread and butter either. He's a garbage man on offense and a good one, but that's his role on that side of the court.
