They say Leinart should have better production this year. They expect our line to be at the very least stable. They say he can be a rotational starter for your fantasy team based on matchups.

RugbyMuffin's Cardinals Fantasy Breakdown:

Matt Leinart:
For scoring or performance leagues: I would look at the numbers that Big Ben has put up pre-2006. That would give you a good idea of what Leinart is going to put this year.

Larry Fitzgerald:
In a TD (scoring) driven league Fitz is an average fantasy player. He is not going to have a load of TD.

In a performance driven league Fitz is fantasy gold. He always has at least 4 or 5 catches for at least 75 yards. I would expect for the 2007 season to be even better for Fitzgerald.

Anquan Boldin:
In a scoring based league Boldin is worthless. He is not our primary red zone threat and doesn't catch a lot of TD's

In a performance based league Boldin is inconsistant. He can have days were he puts up HUGE numbers and then have days were he does little to nothing. He is a boom or bust fantasy player.

Edgerrin James:
In a scoring based league I would look to pick Edge up as your second back, or if you choose a QB first then your first. I think Edge's TD total will increase dramatically this year.

In a performance based league I think it is a matter of if you are a risk taker or not. There is a chance that Edge might be the player he was last year or a chance he returns to form behind a new offensive line. Look for around 1300 yds and 17 TD's from Edge this year.

As for the rest of the offensive, unless Edge (M.Shipp) or a WR (Bryant Johnson) goes down there is no one else.

AND for those who play in performance leagues that do individual defensive players I will include a defensive breakdown:

Karlos Dansby: When healthy Dansby is another piece of fantasy gold. He can get you 10 tackles, or 3 sacks, or an INT, or fumble recovery, or a defensive TD at any time. He is one of the best in the league when it comes to fantasy defensive players.

Adrian Wilson: In my league he was second behind Champ Bailey for DB's. You can always count on a load of tackles, and a few sacks from Wilson game in and game out.

Gerald Hayes: The guy is a tackling machine, and will pick a pass off here and there. He is relatively not well known so he can be a steal in the later rounds.

Chike Okeafor: He gets a good amount of sacks, and tackles per game. Not exactly top tier when it comes to DL, but if he is there late in the draft he will be a good value.

The rest of the squad is hit or miss. Bertrand Berry was a monster two years ago, and was absolutely tearing it up. But it has been a long time since then and there are a lot of question marks about him.

The Cards haven't had a RB score double digit rushing TD's in almost 35 years.

That would tie the all-time record for all positions set by John David Crow 45 years ago in 1962.

For an aggie he was a heck of a ball player.
