I liked what he had to say, especially how he only wanted to take one year deal because he just wants to go all in for one year and worry about the rest later. I'm not expecting him to be quite as dominant as previous years because of age and K9 had previously pointed out, his best success was at LG in heavy zone blocking scheme. But I do like the signing because he will be a big upgrade from what we had last year and also a veteran presence working along side Humphries and possibly a rookie center.

I was a bit surprised to hear that he just had ankle surgery. I hope it was minor and doesn't end up being a nagging thing that keeps him out of the lineup.

When they say its just cleaning stuff up, usually thats not going to be a big deal at all. technically being that OL do not cut and etc on their ankle, tons of tape helps most injuries.

Really? I thought with that name you were all into Gaga and Beiber. :)

I bet a lot of people dont know what Reign in blood is :)

Pretty much anything before god hates us all was amazing. I recently saw a ranking on a metal website that had half of the new albums above the old albums. IMO the last good slayer was Diabolus in musica. After that they seemed to have turned the vocals up loud, decide to just yell everything and i dont know, i dont like any of it.

I have a hard time naming favorites. Seasons is amazing, big fan of divine intervention, reign in blood. I'll say my top 4 easily are reign in blood, seasons, south of heaven and divine intervention.

PanterA and slayer were always neck and neck for me but I think ver time, PanterA won out. I saw PanterA around 9 times before they spliut up, wish I would have seen damage plan while I could.

These days the only band I get excited for coming to town is lamb of god, they are my new pantera. Going to see them for the 4th or 5th time later this month.

South of Heaven for me. Fav track... Crooked Cross

thats tough. Mandatory suicide, ghosts of war, spill the blood and south of heaven are all awesome too. Great album.

I remember the first time I saw slayer in 1996 at the first ozzfest. I had just got into the south of heaven album and was tripping pretty heavily. Danzig was playing and we were off to the side eating some food and I kept hearing south of heaven thinking they were on stage but it was just the hallucinogens messing with me. Once slayer actually came out, they started with south of heaven, it blew my mind :)

To this day, that show during angel of death is the biggest mosh pit I have ever seen. I was basically jogging along the whole grass path at cricket, it was too big honestly.

Awesome. Ya the only time I tripped was at a Candlebox show. They started moshing for some damn reason I think they must have been tripping too. My buddy's ol lady was with us and she got kicked in the face. We left the show and wound up at some tent bar thingy and I tripped on the band that's was playing there. The guitarist was awesome and with what equipment he had he stole the show. Wow the memories or lack thereof.

Ya I like Pantera and most 90's metal too. The first times heard White Zombie it blew me away.

my favorite part about Slayer was that their music was easy to play early on.... always been a bigger Metallica fan...kinda got into Slip Knot recently...those kids in Korn have some talent too

Slayer is defiantly fun music. The soloing is horrible and they can't really harmonize vocally. But they are fun. It is what it is.

I really like Volbeat right now.
