It would be easier if you listed the problems with the Cards that weren’t Keims fault.
My honest take on Michael is that he's not a football savvy owner and he's not really a business savvy owner either.

I think he leaned  heavily on Keim. That's why Keim lasted so long, Michael trusted him so much. I've seen your snarky laughing emojis when I mentioned that Keim might have been an issue with the facilities, but the reality is, the GM is in charge of facilities too.

Won’t help Cardinals if Wilks is dragged into this. Just a horrible response from the organization. Very unprofessional and gives more credence to the accusations in my opinion.

Yup. If I was counsel to Terry i would use this as more evidence showing how he was victimized by the Cardinals.

If Michael really had his employees use burner phones and didn't collect them afterwards, he deserves everything that is coming to him. That is basic crime 101.

Also, imagine putting your family's generational business in this much jeopardy because of Steve freaking Keim fresh off an extreme DUI. The idiocy is off the charts.

I am dreaming big on a protest right now. Michael brings back the club level meet and greet and I show up in a custom jersey BurnerPhone1
IDK why but this reminded Billy Bats scene from Goodfellas.

Among owners Michael is not the most liked. Most of these guys made their money outside of Football. They see him as a kid that inherited a team, didn't have to invest anything.
You can say that about a lot of owners like the owner of the Niners, Bears, Titans, Bills (widow), Texans, Seattle, and those are off the top of my head. All are second generation family owners. Not businessmen like Blank.

Giants, Steelers, KC… Vegas… Chargers?

I thought Seattle had a trust as owner; grantor was a tech guy?

Raiders is owned by Al Davis’ son. What are you trying to say? I just listed owners who are second generationAl families owners. And your list wasn’t bigger than mine. Try again.

Well, this certainly isn't good. I'm not immediately going to pull out the torches and frankenstein rakes, but I don't have a ton of faith that there isn't some kind of malfeasance here.

It'd be just our luck to be in critical tank mode and have our first round pick stripped, like Miami did this year.

That’s true but the intent was to preempt action by the league office. i think the penalty will be severe, though not selling the team. They may suspend him without team contact for several months.

I think it's far more likely absolutely nothing happens. The league will say it wasn't an NFL suspension and there isn't sufficient evidence of a breach. Probably in a tiny press release in about 8 months time.

It's he said/he said. Even if Terry has burners that only proves he contacted them, not that Mike sanctioned it. There would need to be a reliable 3rd party to corroborate it. Possibly Keim himself, and he'll be under a heavy NDA.

I found him mentioning Wilks to be odd because Wilks is already "suing" the Cards in his joint complaint with Flores and Wilks has no reason not to have mentioned this before in his grievance.

This just has nothing burger written all over it. It's going to vanish into a deep NFL hole to never be heard about again. This just isn't the kind of thing the NFL bothers about. Heck, even Snyder wasn't suspended with all the crap they had on him.

Two things I've been saying for years: McDonough is a crappy person and Mike is a very hard person to work for.
I wish I could find getting ripped for saying Mikey was a terrible guy to work for but it's not worth the time.

The pre game meet and greet with fans on the Great Lawn(I even have a pic with him) is a just a publicity stunt to show a public persona that contradicts his what he is really like.

IMO: hard to see the Cards losing draft picks even if burner gate turns out to be true (that Mike was aware and sanctioned it)

all the other episodes of teams losing draft picks involved some sort of competitive issue: Saints bounty gate, Deflate gate, Dolphins tampering with Brady

feels like more of a fine to me

Cardinals going scorched earth on McD is a bad look. But, it probably indicates they are not too worried about the arbitration. I agree with those that say this is a big nothingburger in the end but it does, IMO, simply reinforce that MB is a douche.

This is just douche on douche crime.

Am I missing something here? I'm definitely not a Bidwill fan in terms of football, but I'm not seeing much here. It was a team suspension. Nobody broke any laws here haha. Drama for the sake of drama.
A team suspension that kept the league from taking any of their own action. So the burner phones initiated by MB were to hide communication from himself? He knew damn well it would be a problem. If the league is now looking into these accusations it is a problem. How big of one? We will see.
