No in-season extension, please. Keep him hungry and avoid the in-season extension jinx.

I agree, don't overpay but pay enough to keep him. I'm not an economic guru but I have to have faith in Keim to do it.

You do what you have to do to bring him back for another year. By far, the best consummate rb we've had since OJ Anderson. I'm not sure where we'd be this year without him. Great vision, can block when he has to, and can still find the end zone. He is significantly better than Ellington as an every down RB.

I'd probably sign him now for a 1 year extension. His value will only increase.

He had a poor day today and was still considerably better than most of what we've had. Furthermore, even after 2 fumbles, he continued to stone free rushers with his blocks. You don't lose that with age. Nor will he lose his acceleration between the tackles. What he's lost is home run ability. But I'll take consistent chain moving runs any day over the occasional big one with a lot of negative yardage thrown in.

Even with the 2 fumbles he ran hard and blocked well. For sure bring him back for 1 more year, no more. We haven't had this kind of back in a long time.

The guy was nearly killed and plays with a bullet in his shoulder... He had no OTA's and no Pre-Season. And yet, he's putting up 100 yard games at a clip we haven't seen in the desert since OJ...
I would make the effort to try to lock him up for another 2 years. $2 million per, with $3 million guaranteed and loads of incentives.

I'm willing to bet that with a normal/proper offseason, he can be even better than what we've seen the far this season.
