You know, Mitch took a hiatus awhile back and I wasn't sure why. Now I know. The guy takes the time to put his opinions and thoughts into very thorough and detailed posts, only to have a third of the board tee up and take a crack at him with elementary school-like glee.

I don't agree with everything he says, but I sure appreciate his (or anybody's) posts that take that much time and effort.

I belong to some pretty large message boards where there are some pretty animated exchanges. Decorum is generally maintained however, as the rule is "attack the argument, not the poster". If some of you could do that without the snarky tone and snide comments, the whole board would be better off. You clearly have the knowledge to engage in an exchange of opinions; demonstrate your true intelligence by framing your arguments well and presenting them logically to counter Mitch's points (or whoever you're debating) The internet pokey-chest routine gets old after awhile.

Mitch takes Hiatus because we were 4-0 and he had no reason to come on here complaining and calling for Whiz's head every week. He knows it would have been viewed as sour grapes. Now after loss #1 he was back with a quickness and has been here regularly ever since. Its funny because one week he claimed that with an early game he didnt have time to get his posts up after the win. Then after an early game east coast loss a few weeks later his post was up sure as heck within an hour of the loss. go figure.

Great point! Totally agree with MooseHead's post! Provide an alternative opinion or counter from your own perspective. It just becomes nonsense when accusing others for having an opinion (right or wrong). Accusing Mitch of "Spewing fiction every week...." is pointless.

Hey, Newbie... we've been going back and forth with Walter for over a decade and need no lessons on decorum. He's part of the family, liked - and can give as well as take. If you stick around, you'll find that out. And, by the way, he can turn around a 800 to a 1000 word diatribe quicker than most journalists.

You also forget that Mitch generally will take Hiatuses when we are winning and posts much more often when we are losing. Well, at least since Whiz has been coach.

Hey, Newbie...

And there you go - can't counter without a personal slag. Been here over a year, not sure how long one remains a newbie.

Anyway, being a message board it is a place to offer opinions. I offered mine.

Carry on, sorry for the thread hijack, Mitch et al.

Again, I think it this is pointless. Mitch has a right to base his opinions on emotion, facts, relevance, etc... It's his view point. If you don't like it then provide a counter based on your own opinion. So what if he takes a Hiatus as you stated. This is a message board for God's sake.

Mitch, Gay was excellent at tackling today though our safeties I agree still tend to want to go for a highlight hit. I think we can fix the Horton problem without promoting him to head coach, pay the man an insane amount of money to stay as our DC because there is no cap on how much you can pay a coach.

I couldn't agree more.

You cannot counter fiction unless you want to create your own fiction. Personally, I was never good at writing fairy tails.

At least Mitch writes why he feels the way he does instead of just posting "you're wrong".

I just can't see why anyone would attack any other Cardinal fans posts considering we thought Jeff Blake was an upgrade. That McGinnis was a good coach and would take us to the playoffs. That Wendall Bryant was going to have a break out year ad nauseum.

With this crazy team who the heck knows if even the most far fetched ideas are going to be wrong.

How in the world can Chad Henne, who hasn't played all year, come in and throw for 4 TD's and 300 yards on an offense every bit atrocious as ours?

Could it possibly be the system?

42 consecutive games of mostly inept offense would suggest it is.

If we had Chad Henne, an experienced NFL QB, we would have won today.

I'm pretty sure Jetstream that $$$ isnt going to keep Horton from fulfilling a dream of being an NFL HC...he's either coaching the Cards next year or he's gone IMO.

Now that's a great question that could be debated. I would tend to believe there may be something to that. Who would take ownership for a flawed system? hmmm....

With that said, it's also not an excuse for poor OL & QB play.

There's a lot of blame to go around for sure. :)

There is no system so flawed that by design it generates 60 passing yards.

At some point you have to back off making the volume of absurd posts that Mitch does to be taken seriously in any forum filled with educated readers. I don't block Mitch because every once in a while he comes out with some legitimate points, but most is so ridiculous it is hard to read and take seriously.

I make no apologies, Winning cures everything, even lousy Headcoaching. I have posted more Negative stuff only in the Game thread over the last 6 weeks, before that I posted positive stuff, you just want to cherrypick. I do not believe having a high post count makes your opinion any more valid...just more whiney and needy...like somehow more words make you more relevent...not in your case...just allows you to make more apologys for a poor coaching job. Either way I am happy to be lumped in with the Mitches, Campos, Southendzone,Loc,Nashman's of our board. We will all be glad when Whiz is done as the headcoach of this team.
