Let's try to get the conversation off other posters and back on basketball.

Who have you been pulling for in the playoffs this year that used to be on the Suns?

For me it's everyone not named Morris. I hope IT and Gerald Green can put up a fight versus league favourites Cleveland. Good thing Tucker got some playoffs experience also. I just root for the underdog and keep getting disappointed.

I don't really care for the Raptors or the Cavaliers otherwise it would be a toss-up between Tucker and Frye. As it is, I'd say probably no one.

Tucker. Its nice he's finally able to taste playoff basketball. IT wasnt here long enough for me to care, Greens a nutjob, and Morris is a Dbag. Never was a Frye fan.

There aren't any former Suns who I care much for in the playoffs this year, we had a lot of unlikable players for a few years so it's not surprising. The players from our contending years are almost all retired or 12th men with Dudley and Barbosa returning here before calling it quits. I wish Miami managed to squeak into the 8th seed though to see a series of him vs IT. I know that wouldn't have silenced any of the debate about who is better and who was better for the Suns but it would have been fun to watch.

I've been rooting for IT but that more to do with what he's dealt with this offseason than him playing here for 1/2 a season. He's the definition of the underdog almost his entire career and the accident his sister was in just before the playoffs started made you feel sorry for him. To his credit he hasn't missed any time and has been productive in each game. His team was written off after they fell down 0-2 to the Bulls despite what he was going through off the court and the Bulls finally playing to their potential. The Celtics got a lot of bad press about being the worst #1 seed in decades after they fell behind in the series but they rallied back to win the next 4 and take the series. Then IT takes a shot to the face that knocks out one of his front teeth in the first quarter of game 1 in round 2 and he managed to say in the game and put up 33 points with 9 assists while leading them to the win. I know the series is tied now but it's been entertaining, the Celtics and Wizards don't like each other and I am rooting against Markieff and the Polish Playskool Hammer.

My fav ex sun right now is Penny Hardaway. I hated him at the time but compared to Brandon Knight he looks good.

Yeah and every point Booker, Chriss and Bender scores is a future extended contract for McD.

Whiz took us to superbowl and he aint here either.

chriss and bender are not remotely enough to make up for the Thomas/Dragic/Knight/Lakers catastrophe.

And the "i drafted Booker" cow has been dead for a long time. Theres no more milking that thing.

We about to draft #2 overall in the 1st time in Suns history. Boot that ratface moron

Dude c'mon now.

We got two Miami picks for Dragic.

I hated the Thomas trade BUT we had Bledsoe and Dragic so there are mitigating circumstances involved. The three PG circus couldn't last.

Knight was a rebound desperation move. He did look promising on the Bucks? so McD took a chance there.

McDonough has been drafting well too...fans have been generally pleased in that area.

I'd be bummed if McD got canned...and scared!

Yeah, we do have Booker, Alan, Chriss, Bender, and Ulis.....thank you for getting us them Mcdonough, now beat it and let a real GM take us to the next level.

His draft picks dont make up for his incompetencies elsewhere. Lets not waste our youthful roster on this guy. A skilled GM can take this roster and make a championship team with it.

You better have someone specific in mind before giving McD the axe.

Or generally anybody from the Spurs should be a terrific option. The Raptors also surely have some ace executive assistants who we could nab.

How can the "I drafted Booker" cow be out of milk but the "traded IT and Dragic" cows keep producing more?

We're drafting #2 because they went full tank mode for the first time in franchise history, with serious dedication. I think we could have finished with between 30-35 wins if we didn't shut down Chandler and Bledsoe for the remainder of the season to concentrate on drafting as high as possible.

I don't think drafting Booker really meant much until this season when Booker was put in position to succeed and basically given the keys to the franchise. He put up 70 points at the end of March. We would not have been able to draft him had we kept IT and Dragic and it's highly unlikely we would have taken him if we held onto one of them with Bledsoe still here.

It should be mentioned that Booker got his chance to play only because of an injury. Without the injury, he would certainly not be in the position he is now. That wasn't planning. That was chance.

Actually he played 21 minutes on opening night of his rookie season. It was hit and miss after that but it was clear they always intended to give him minutes. Because of injuries it went from hit and miss to every game but I'd say "planning" was very much a part of his development.
