Good calls on all the ones you listed, but had to specifically address these 3...
I can't believe that Moreno went as far as he did w/out being mentioned (especially by me).... I've loved the Deftones for years...."Around The Fur" and "White Pony" are my faves..especially his vocal delivery on "Change".....
Serj Tankian.... He would be a lot better if he constantly didnt growl... I know he does it for effect/affect, but it grates me... Other than that he does have a solid melodic voice....
Sonny... I havent listen to much of POD since "The Fundamental Elements of Southtown" was first released, but should again.....
I'm glad no one has mentioned Fred Durst yet... he's definitely a joke.....
Surprised that Jonathan Davis hasnt been mentioned yet? Not really since several (including myself) believe that he forces his vocals to the extent that they sound EXTREMELY unnatural.....
Ones I would like to add that havent been yet mentioned:
1) Jimmy Gnecco (Ours) If there is someone who could somewhat be compared (and I mean SOMEWHAT) to Jeff Buckley than it's Jimmy Gnecco..
Don't know if you've, Brandon_Webb, (or others) have heard of them.. but they remind me a lot of Radiohead and Muse....They released their BIGGEST hit in 2001 (received a lot of play on MTV X back then) "Sometimes", but havent been heard from much since....
2) Lynn Strait (Snot) I've mentioned them before.... Snot recorded/released their unforgettable debut album in '97 "Get Some", but unfortunately Strait died in a car-crash a year later while they were in the midst of working on their follow-up.... They would have even been bigger than all those other Nu-Metal bands that surfaced around that time since they actually exhibited some "CHUTZPAH" contrary to the others....
