Which scene? The blood scene? Strands friend seems pretty badass

Lol the kid didn't. I didn't really consider it either honestly, the end was gratifying though. I'm still amazed they didn't stop for the Asian girl after the last episode. Only two comments after this episode so maybe I'm a minority but I think as of episode two, this show is finally good. Looking forward to more
Yeah, I posted that right after the opening scene.

Strands minion is pretty BA but those shots he made from the bouncing raft were crazy. No way you hit someone between the eyes from a rapidly bouncing, moving raft at 200 meters.

don't forget, in the apocalypse, everyone is the best marksman in history. Of course that shot isn't possible but it was still awesome :)

I forgot.

You'd think I would know better having watched every episode of TWD.

 I can't count how many bad bad bad bad scenes or scenarios have played out on this show barely into season 2. I have a laundry list. This last episode was probably the most tolerable but how about we see a string of good episodes without mind numbing writing before we call it "good".

IMO, the last 3 episodes were good so I am enjoying myself. It went from 10 stupid scenes a show to one. Episodes 2-4 of this season have been very entertaining IMO. I finally like characters, have people to root for and etc. It just took way too long to get this way.

A big part of it is more people keep showing up out of the group I think, causing me to like or dislike one or another more.

There has been a ton of stupid and it's been consistent. This last episode maybe have had one scene but it was a major one. Almost everybody I talked to about this show knew those people were the people fishing for their location. It was telegraphed from a nautical mile away. Aside from that, it was an OK episode. The rest? There have definitely been multiple stupid sequences and scenes...multiple.

I still find myself cheering for Junkie Depp's demise but I know it probably won't happen anytime soon. Hopefully, the writing continues to go more along the lines of the last episode. Honestly, they need to get off the damn boat already.

I'm starting to like junkie depp.

I thought I would hate the boat but I dont, gives lots of different locations and exploration opportunities.

Had no idea those people were the ones on the comms until the kid started talking stating the same story he said to the girl in episode one.

Not trying to make you like the show, just stating I have enjoyed the last 3 in a great way and am finally a fan of the show.

I enjoyed the crazy survival family episode, the beach episode and this one.

I knew a guy who could make that shot....and in all honesty I could come pretty close myself...but I am no sniper.

It's kind of hard to like a show with such bad writing. I am trying. I love zombie/post apocalyptic stuff. I pretty much watch it all. I just kind of feel duped. The show was advertised as showing us how civilization fell. We got 2 seconds of that. You can go through this thread to see how bad some of the writing has been.

It's cool you like it but honestly, unless the show does a major direction change I am out. This last episode was a start but it doesn't erase all the bad writing in the previous several episodes.

the entire first season was watchable to the effect of a crappy B rated horror movie along with episode one of this season. I completely agree. I understand your feelings, I just think the show turned the corner at the survivalist lodge. After that episode, I stopped complaining. So far :)

my ol'lady don't care though...she has already "Jumped Ship" as it were....but she has never really been a zombie apocalypse type chick...she only watches the shows to "Bond" with me...she is kinda cool like that

might be cooler if she actually liked them.....

but is still cool she goes out of her way...makes sure I don't miss any...sets the dvr, stuff like that

The entire first season was borderline unwatchable. In fact, at times it was so bad it was hilarious...which is not good. My buddy who loves this stuff jumped shipped this season after Junkie Depp fell into the pit. The survivalist episode was probably the first episode with any depth to it. This last one wasn't that bad. I just hope the writers are listening. You can go to just about any message board and see how disappointed the fans are with this show. I really hope we get to see more of civilization falling apart verses TWD with a different group.

Man this isn't getting any better. I am at the point where this show is "Mystery Science Theater 3000" for me. Just watching a bad show to make fun of how stupid it is.

The whole Travis talking to that Asian chick from the airplane was strange. The conversation made absolutely no sense. Travis is the ultimate whipping boy and he just seems content to take it.

Then lets leave the emotionally messed up millennial with the bad guy who is trying to get into his head. Yeah that's a good idea...

So Alicia sees her parents coming in to save her and Jack tries to convince Alicia that Travis and Madison will eventually abandon her. Really? Like her mom will abandon her. Can Jack be that stupid? That's the best he can come up with.

Why is it so hard to get across the border? And what good is money these days? Oh and by the way you have a freaking boat. Just float down to Mexico and there is no border to cross!

I got a laugh out of the hostage exchange. I get why they put a bag over the walkers head, but why put a bag over Travis's head? Were they trying to keep Travis from knowing where their secret hideout was or something as Madison pulled up to their hideout.

There was so much nonsense. Leaving an unstable kid on watch duty and the bag thing is a good call out. Why did they put it over his head? LOL. Also, WTH didn't Madison use the gun she stuffed down the back of her pants just minutes before the exchange?

Instead, she allows a dude to bum rush her husband who has his hands tied behind his back. Then after they are on the ground....again...instead of using said gun she plays kickball with that guys ribs. At the very least she should have had the gun out because of the walker the newly bit brother. Why bring the gun?

Also, moments before Alicia hid she acknowledged that the kid didn't want to be there anymore than she did yet she just says "see ya". Could they have made it more obvious a setup for them seeing those characters again? Predicting revenge plot now.

Oh boy.

not to mention the release of leverage..

if it were me...you have more men, more firepower, and a secured position..... but I have your brother...

in such case YOU would load my peeps into a zodiac, with a single helper, and bring my peeps to me and get your brother.

a single solitary southern California mommy driving up to the enemy stronghold all alone just made no sense as it was all the more likely they would just take her as well.

To be fair, she was a teacher at a high school in L.A.

So is Season 2 worth watching? I've intentionally not watched a single minute of the show this season, seeing as how bad Season 1 was.

Depends on your expectations. Are you looking for a show on equal footing to TWD dead? A show on the fall of mankind? A show without silly telegraphed scenes like people falling into pits? A show without nonsensical scenarios like getting pinned down on a wide open beach? A show that puts unnecessary bags over peoples head or forgets their character has a gun in a scenario where she should definitely use a gun?

If so........picture that scene with the Zombie who stops suddenly from wanting to eat Junkie Depp's face off to stair at the pretty light coming through the bullet holes in the bottom of the boat.

If none of that matters and you just want to watch something...anything with zombies....keep watching.
