Wow...no posts? I enjoyed the lack of dialog in this episode. It's normally so dumb, the fewer lines the better.

The scene with the guys in the jeep was utterly ridiculous. Why did they just stand there and get engulfed?
I enjoyed it. I do t really understand his rationale to completely ditch everyone but it was a good 45 minutes of my time. Daughter enjoyed it too. I like that character though, if the next one focuses on mom I don't expect it to be as good(I don't watch until Monday night)

No need to overthink this one. I'm betting it's the quality (or lack thereof) of the show.

I tried to watch, but five minutes in, I officially deleted it from my DVR.
Wow, you made it this far?

I wonder if the place he found is zombie friendly like he wants to be? Whats it going to take to make him realize they are dead? maybe if his whole village gets eaten? or maybe it will be a zombified loved one.

Boring. Finally watched it. Also, this has to be some of the most tragic editing I have seen in a long time. If you watch that episode, you will see that Junkie Depp goes has a few smudges of blood on his face, then heavy, then light, then heavy etc. WTH? Do they pay attention to theses things? Even my son pointed it out.

Also, way to try and make Junkie a bad A earlier only to get chased away with bat and leave behind his backpack. I mean come on.

Just for an episode to start with coming back from a break? Meh. The countdown clock to deletion on my DVR has started.

How long did it take Hershel?

One thing that is unusual about this show is that we know a LOT more about the zombies than the characters do because of TWD. They're just figuring things out as they go along and they didn't get that visit to the CDC like Rick and the gang to help them along.

Herschel at least saw them as a threat and locked them up, Junkie depp seems to think they are family for now.

To be fair, this might seem picky but the show has been consistent in missteps, bad writing and stupidity of characters.

Name your top 5 shows.
me and you have similar taste, that was more for stout since he hates the show but wants to come in and constantly talk about how terrible it is.

I want to list top 5 shows but honestly, they are all recent because I always have recency bias.

TWD
breaking bad
the office
OZ
then a toss up between a bunch of comedy shows like silicon valley, modern family and others

there are shows that I likely love but havent watched yet too like game of thrones.

How about movies:
Terminator two
Natural born killers
full metal jacket
idiocracy
aliens

I watch this but more or less because it is on and I don't have a lot going on Sunday nights. It really is bad TV with a bunch of characters that it is hard to care about AT ALL.

My question this past episode...Zombies fall a few stories off of hotel balconies and they can still walk? I can see it not killing them if they don't land on their heads, but no broken legs, shattered hips or pelvis? I could see one or two getting up but ALL of them?

Or why don't those guys at the grocery store just follow nick back to his camp and take the oxy?

Right. We have seen zombies break bones and basically crawl. That didn't make sense. Also, why is it the girls (Alicia) were knocking on every single door to see if zombies were there and then based on looking at the sign on the door decide...you know this one is OK...we don't need to knock and just open it?

Not to mention that Madison was having a cow over strand ringing a door bell. So, she begins to smash glasses and doesn't care that Strand is making all this noise with the piano.

Also...I know there is a funny meme waiting to happen with the bar scene in the episode where all the zombies are reaching over the bar like they were desperate for a drink. LOL.

I sure did enjoy watching the zombies fall though, my daughter thought it was weird that I was laughing.

I still don't care for Madison. Alicia is coming along. That ending was disappointing and I imagine next week involves Travis and his son.

I still get the feeling of old slower horror movies from fear, similar to sometimes they come back again or wishmaster.

If this show dropped all at once on Netflix or something I bet it would be a lot better in succession

Oh yeah, that Mexican dude's "bite"on his shoulder, think it is really a bite?

In retrospect, I am really depressed the only character that I care about has been written off the show.

R.I.P. Abigail.

P.S. I hope the bite is real. That would mean that some humans have some level of immunity which makes sense. Maybe that is the real setup for the ending of both shows. They find humans immune somewhere in the world.

it cant be though, can it? :)

I think its fake. I like the girl so hopefully they set that place on fire soon and her and nick run off to create a real group of survivors along with alicia.

I would have said immediately that he was lying if it wasn't for her saying she witnessed it.

thats what has me confused too. She may be full of it or protecting him to keep everyone sheltered though. She seems like one that might break rank.

Her character strikes me as the honorable type though. I don't think she would lie about what she had seen. Plus if you think about the logical conclusion of these shows they can only end one of two ways.

Either they find a cure or everyone everywhere dies. It's logical to me that there are some humans who might be immune and they setup some sort of safe site somewhere to figure out how to replicate. Maybe this guy (though misguided) is one of them.

i read an article today tying to tie madison to the TWD crew as maybe a sibling or relative of someone because she is from Alabama. I think they are simply reaching.

I believe the show has improved during this half of the season.
