He was clearly up to no good. Seen breaking into 3 vehicles and a neighbors house apparently and obviously in the vicinity of his grandparents neighborhood.... Per police he wasn’t compliant and produced a dark object (cell phone) when he was shot. And no I’m not justifying the shooting. But I do believe that would qualify as “stupid games” as referred to earlier.
Police should have more restraint however. On at least 2 separate occasions similar to this one I was able to restrain long enough to see what the item was. (Not a gun) He shouldn’t have been shot and 20 times is definitely excessive.
if this is the one in sacramento... they showed the body cam footage on local news... dude deserved to be shot.
it was dark, he was told to stop and put his hands in the air...he brandished something in his hand and advanced on police...so they fired. There was no way for the cops to see he was not holding a weapon and he failed to comply.
sad...all he had to do was drop the phone and raise his hands

I haven’t seen the video but if what you are describing is accurate and it was dark and he advanced then a shooting could be totally justified. But still 20 times? Mehhhh
