which of the two should I start?

I am leaning heavily towards frijole boy. I think this may very well be his first 100 yard game.

Thoughts?

Tim Hightower..And its not even close. His production in the passing game alone in this high scoring affair will make him the much better option. JMO.

I hear you.

I just am getting this feeling that all the attentionto Beanie's fumble(s) and AW giving him that ball is going to align Karma his way.

But what the hell do I know. That's why i'm asking.

Beanies getting like 7 carries a game so far. Timmy had 15 in the last one. The fumbles arent going to inrease confidence in the coaches. Timmy is the 3rd down back who catches a ton of balls to. I just think overall right now and especially this game he is the better option. But I have been wrong many a time before. This could be another.

for what it's worth...

Thus far in my fantasy league here are the numbers:

Hightower - 48pts
Wells - 5pts

Like you said, that could change drastically if Beanie has a big game, but then again, Hightower is more likely to rack up points for you because of his catches.

Agreed. Let's revisit this thread mid-season.

Exactly. TH is the starter, has 200 yds from scrimmage in 2 games and a TD, and has really shown improvement from last year. Solid fantasy numbers, not exceptional, but consistent.

Beanie has shown flashes of an elite RB and he might get there, just not this week. I want to see how he mentally adjusts to handling the ball.

But given my record in Fantasy, he will have his breakout game when I don't expect it.

Indeed, hopefully by then Beanie will have made you do a lot of this DCR!!! (from NFC Championship halftime)

lol well we were up what, 24-6 at halftime?

I'm pretty sure it was joy, followed by unimaginable frustration and fury, followed by complete elation and relief...

Ahhh the life of a Cardinal Fan. lol

This week it has to be Hightower. Wells will be given his chances and if he hangs on to the ball, his touches will increase. We all know he is going to be our featured back, it is just a matter of time. With Whiz he is going to have to earn it.

Definitely Hightower for one big reason.

Last week Beanie fumbled twice and last year Hightower was great in short yardage/goaline situations. With Tim obviously being trustworthy and Beanie yet to prove to be I'll be very surprised if Beanie sees the ball in the redzone tomorrow. Screw yards, TDs get the points.

I'm loving Hightower. He seems to have picked up his game. Forget the short yardage situation; he's averaging some strong yardage on 1st and 10.

But I'm not giving up on Beanie, either. He's got some sweet moves that Tim just doesn't have. For the first time since -- ever -- the Cards have two strong backs.

Hightower gets the majority of the short yardage stuff also (ie: touchdowns). TH in a landslide. There will be a time where this won't be true, but it won't be this week.

First of all, I don't have the first idea who the better play will be. I'd stay away from the Cardinals RBs until the picture is clearer.

Those of you so insistent it's THT are assuming that nothing changes. I think the pendulum is swinging towards Beanie as the feature back. Will we see it continue to move in his direction this week enough to mitigate THT's value? I don't know, but I do know it's changing.

Like I said, I'd stay away if at all possible. One of them could have a huge game...I just don't have any confidence saying which one it'll be.
