ya know what?? They should fire him anyway just to make a point.
I like that, the day before his contract is up, fire his azz.

thats just BA making excuses to keep his buddy in a high paying job... nothing more.I heard a radio clip of BA saying (paraphrasing here) that he watches Amos coaching up the guys, but they continue to do it wrong on game day. He'd like to get new players, but that's all they have right now.
Was that a dig at keim? that he didn't sign enough good ST players?
Also, I was under the impression that asst. coaches and staff are handled by the head coach, not the GM.
hell...fire him tomorrow. You think his absence is actually going to hurt our ST performance?I like that, the day before his contract is up, fire his azz.
I agree but if is forced to, BA won't.ya know what?? They should fire him anyway just to make a point.
Oh we know BA wont...which is why SK or MB should go do itI agree but he is forced to,BA won't.
Actually, I've seen it called numerous times this year. Still, Jones needs to go.It's rarely called...time for your ST coach to play that way.
his contract is expiring and Keim is not going to offer him a new one.
Just from comments made by SK...I think he's getting fed up with the coaching, especially on Special Teams. He's got to be feeling the heat after 2 sub-par years and under performing draft classes. If SK says that Amos has to go, and BA resists...I think BA is as good as gone.BA was given the ultimate say on his staff and on the roster. Keim would have to breach his agreement with BA to insist that Jones move on. Now, it could be that BA will listen to MB and SK this time around. But, if BA stays committed to his statement that to fire Jones the Cardinals would have to fire him, then that could back MB and SK into the wall and force their hand one way or another. BA has all the leverage because he and most of his assistants are signed through 2018.
Or maybe Jones/Arians is very poor in either communicating what they want, or poor in judging talent themselves, or placing them in bad spots.
The ST have talent, but when players (multiple, over years) fail to execute, then that is on coaching.

I believe this is more of the problem than anything. We have seen too many players come and go on special teams. The only constant has been Amos. HE either doesn't know how to scheme the special teams or he is one lousy communicator. Quite frankly he may also be awful at dissecting game film. I also believe that they probably struggle to position players to allow them to use their individual talents to the fullest. K. Williams being a last man protector is a perfect example of this. I will never forget that blocked punt when the guy just ran over Williams to block it.

I think Mitch makes a good point here. Keim and Arians are from the same area (Harrisburg/York, Pa.) and having lived in this area for a over twenty years I know a little something about it and it's the type of area that they are like brothers in arms. I honestly think Keim and Arians relationship is too close. There is still to this day a strong good ol boys mentality and I feel pretty sure both Keim and Arians have that in their blood. If Keim is going to get rid of Amos or anyone else, he is going to have to go against something that has been ingrained in him for a long time. I'm not sure he's capable of doing it.

Not extending a new job offer is not firing.
Irrelevant. We'll see when the year is over. Jurecki and Keim both have strongly hinted that Amos will not be ST coach next year.Did BA take it that way in Pittsburgh?

Great. And what about Bettcher and his defense which has declined every year he’s been here?
