He clearly is not the man for the job.
And whom do you see available to do a better job? Without Pollock to share the load with Goldy. With a losing #2 starter brought in at a price by the Front Office? Matt Williams, who can't control a clubhouse? Who has the personality of a wet rag, as did Kirk Gibson.

Chip Hale so far has not been dealt a good hand. Giving that hand to another person isn't going to change things. It is in the best interest of the D-backs to not showcase Chip as a scapegoat.

I know you like Chip, and wanted him for the job, but he is not getting it done.

The whole team can't hit with RISP - that is not just missing Pollock. Defensively, the team seems to be going downhill.

So, I'll ask again. Whom do you see available to do a better job?

Firing a Manager doesn't improve the team unless you have a candidate in mind who has a history of taking a predominantly young roster such as ours and doing a better job.

I don't think Bob Brenly would want the headache of it at this stage. And he had his success with a veteran team.

That is not my job to find a better person - I am sure there are plenty of people who could do it.

If Chip Hale's claim is that he can work with a young roster, he is doing a really crappy job of it.

I would like to start with pulling Miller out of the rotation and see what that does.

Its got to be pretty demoralozing to get ready for a game when he's starting.

The organizational rot goes much deeper than the manager

It does. I remember Gibson being NL manager of the year in 2011. Then Towers put his mark on the team and the rest is history. The manager is the scapegoat many times. Goes with the territory. Still, too soon for that change.

Not sure what the answer is but the D'Backs do look terrible. It starts at the top which is Tony LaRusso. So far what he has done has failed.

I am not sure how popular Dave Stewart is in the Valley but I just can't stand the guy. I wanted him to do well just as a DBacks fan but it is really hard for me to forget what an absolute ass he was when he played for the A's, I remember as a kid asking for his autograph and him just flat out ignoring me...most of that team was that way, only exceptions were Weiss, Gallegos and the catcher ( forget the name--Hassey I think).

I think it is safe to question the deals and draft choices made since he took charge.

Fire the GM and let him decide if Hale can do the job or not.

It's amateur hour in the front office for sure, not sure why LaRussa signed up for this except maybe looking for a nice paycheck in retirement.

Unless Chip Hale is responsible for the breakage of Pollack and Peralta physically, Goldschmidt mentally, and Miller altogether, I'd say he isn't the problem.

I like Chip. However, for reasons that often elude us (and those involved at the time), the team he is responsible for managing and leading, is NOT performing. Yes, there are a few key injuries (Pollack, Collmenter, Peralta), however, there is still enough here to allow the team to play more consistently and produce more W's.
For me, what is most concerning is the lack of enthusiasm and energy across the board. Our worst player - Ahmed, is virtually the only one who ever shows any emotion or passion. Everyone else are nothing but robots giving the appearance of just going through the motions...almost as if they're not even happy to be wearing a Dbacks uniform. And as much as it pains me to say it, I toss Goldy into that pile of blahhhhness....

In the end, the manager has and always will take the bullet in situations like this. We've all seen good managers fired in similar situations. Chip might be a good manager one day, but he's not now. By any measure, he has failed... My fear is that Hall, TLR and Stewart might be too loyal and choose to keep Chip around longer than what would typically considered "appropriate"...

I don't know, the rest of the league panned much of La Russo's moves. Maybe they were right and the DBacks are reaping what they sowed.

We need this guy...I hear he finally sold those whitewalls to the guy holding on the other line, so he should be available to come to AZ and whip this team into shape.

Before I jump on the "Fire Chip" bandwaggon I need the answer to this question.

Is their record due to lack of talent or motivation?

I dont know if I'm ready to fire Chip yet, but I agree this team has been FLAT since opening day. I dont know if you can have 2 superstars who are super calm and even keeled as Goldy and Grienke are, and then also have a manager who is also flat.

I said before this team needs some freakin fire.

I will say that I am completely NOT buying the whole (this is all because AJ got hurt) excuse cmon guys, AJ is good, but there is much, much more wrong with this team than 1 guy out of the lineup.
