OK, I am officially a Firefly fanboy. This show is fantastic.

Last night, I watched Safe. The development of River's character is very well done.

I almost finished Our Mrs Reynolds this morning. What an episode!

I am starting to get giddy about the movie as well.

Good on ya. Such a great, great verse. Totally grows on you with each episode.

I had friends who were really into it a few years back...totally ignored them about it.

Saw things on the web occasionally - never paid attention.

Finally saw Serenity on DVD...liked it...decided to try the show. Watched first 3 episodes and bought the set same night.

Some of the best tv dialouge...well...about ever.

I expect it will age very well. The charm is in the characters and the wity writing.

Oh - want an idea how well received the show has been as a cult hit since it went to DVD? Check out the series boxset on Amazon. There are something like 3000+ reviews - and it is almost 5 stars. Amazing.

Our Mrs Reynolds is a great episode. GREAT ending. Perfectly acted, IMO.

EDIT: That's the one with the hot redhead/strawberry blonde, right?

She was HOT.

Great episode too...very, very good.

I'm glad you are liking it abomb.

I always really liked the "Out of Gas" episode.
Maybe I'm confusing the two...

Is the "Out of Gas" episode the one where Mal ends up naked in the desert?

Hey, lookit that! A spoiler tag in a TV show thread! ;)

Watched "Jaynestown" last night.

This show just gets better and better.

No, I think it's the one where it begins with him falling on the floor bleeding.

That's correct. He falls to the floor then the episode flashes back. The naked episode is also a flash back. Funny how, IMO those are 2 of the best episodes were flash back episodes.

...... A man they call JAYNE...

The look on everybody's face when they gather at the statue and then the ribbing they give him after is freaking classic.

What he said.

In the TV guide interivew he did say he was too busy but he also said he also basically said he would love to but nobody has approached him. He said he didn't have the money needed to do it on his own.

So basically he WOULD do it but no studio or network is interested.

I'm just so happy so many of you are watching this now. I watched it when it was on Fox and I was so bummed when it was canceled.

Seeing everyone embrace it now is great.

I admit, I only caught a couple episodes on Fox. My wife and I were huge Buffy and Angel fans. However, right around the time that Firefly came out, we only had a VCR. So we only could record so many shows. Then we both worked odd schedules at that time.

Something had to give. When I finally got to see the rest of the shows on DVD, I kicked myself for not watching it on TV. In fact, I wish DVR's had been more popular a couple years back. The Nielson's are only now starting to use data from DVR companies like TIVO. If that had happened there would have been more Angel and Firefly IMO.

I just finished watching the entire season. Now I'm sad that there aren't more episodes. The dialogue and character interaction is top notch. I would've loved to have seen what direction they were going to go in if the had made another season or two.

Did you watch the movie yet?

I am thinking of finishing the series and then waiting to watch the movie until D-Dogg and his Mrs. are caught up this summer.

The movie is a fitting send off IMO.

I agree...and it leaves you wanting more.

He didn't hold back in the movie either...things happen.

But I love the ending...brought a little tear to my eye the cockpit scene between the two people in the cockpit ;)

The signature of a good series is that you want more when all is said and done. All 3 of his TV shows had that feeling.
