Graham missed 2 less than 40 - one to left than over-corrected on a shorter one to teh right

I just like Neil's mentality on kickoffs and his unique ability to put the ball where ST have trouble, remember Seattle on the road?

He is a great kicker until he has to kick in pressure... he had only one miss entire season but did not have to kick in pressure situation. His kickoffs are good, he just was not healthy so we were seeing rather shorter KO's in the second half of the season. He is tough in making tackles... I think he is a much better tackler than DRC.

C'mon it was a 34 yarder to win the game. Grahams shank had nothing to do with the outcome.

Many many good kickers in the history of this league have done the same. So dont really see the pooint?

How can anyone her defend Rackers. t was a 34 Yard game winning FG. 90% of high school kickers can make that.

Like I said many many good kickers in this league have missed 34 yard fg's. So what your point?

How many have missed game winners and have stuck around for awhile? Not many. This isn't like it's the first time Rackers has missed a clutch FG either.

So what? He has been money for 2 years solid and is an actual weapon who has MAJORLY contributed to victories with his onside kick ability and has had NUMEROUS game saving tackles preventing TD's with his special teams coverage.

He has more than made up for that one miss that didnt even cost us the game.

Rackers is a big reason why we have had winning seasons and even been in the playoffs the last two years whether you like it or not thats a fact.

Not his fault he hasent had a clutch kick in two years.

bottom line is this: dude was injured for 2 weeks and was undoubtedly rusty. we still one. he gets a second chance and an extra week to practice. we also shouldn't have let them crawl back in the game like we did, even if they do have (and they do) one of the best passing offenses in the NFL.

He can't be that rusty if he was able to knock one in from 80 yards back.

It would kinda suck to come in and have NOT have kicked a field goal ALL DAY to attempt the BIGGEST kick of the season in the final seconds.

Not trying to make excuses...but damn...that would be the ultimate "mental" test for a kicker. God bless him!

I stated it earlier in the season that I am worried about any situation where he is called on to win or tie. He was awful in '06 kicking in the clutch (we could have won at least 2 more games had he made a couple of FGs) and he hasn't had a chance to prove his doubters wrong since then.

Lets just hope he isn't put in that situation again for another 2 years because overall he is a pretty good kicker.

I had a feeling he was going to miss it. With so much time left on the clock I was surprised the offense didn't hurry to the line and spike the ball. Still would have time on the clock for a quick throw to the endzone. Even if Warner were to get sacked, you'd still have the time out and time to kick it.

He had a FG in the game. Almost missed it too.

Guys it boils down to this. Rackers is wound tighter than Dick's hat band. It's all about his approach. He kicks over on the sideline with his cap on getting would up and then comes sprinting out and puts on his helment. He gets in way too big of a hurry. He needs to invest in some type of calming technique....Tony Robbins somebody and just settle the Fu%^ down. He has a linebackers mentality....heck you can see that on his tackles. He just needs to learn to slooooow things down and come out and caaaalmy kick. Look at Morton Anderson and the longtime greats. They dont come sprinting out there. His damn special teams coach shoule know this.

i can't believe ANYONE is still defending Rackers. I love this place. Miss y'all!

That game was simply the filfthiest/most ridiculous sporting event I've ever experienced in my life... including Game 7 of the D-Backs world series.

Sometimes I think you have the counter POV, just to have the counter POV.

Rackers almost cost us the game. That miss was almost catostrophic. That shouldn't be lost in the win.

But I'll take deabating this after a win 10 times out 10.

In case you were wondering had we lost this game, he would not be coming back. Guaranteed. One play can make a career. Ask Bill Buckner or Scott Norwood.

What was Whiz's reaction on the sideline? I don't think I saw it during the game.

I remember how Whiz looked the last time Rackers choked before that.

:lmao:

Thats funny. Especially considering Im far from the only person with that POV. Its even funnier you making the claim so matter of factly that Rackers would have been cut had we lost. Now your a fortune teller too as part of your many talents.
