I agree to a point, but he singlehandedly tore that team to shredds at first and then rebuilt it. What everyone is missing is the TT thinks that this team will still be tied to Ron Wolfe until Brett Favre is gone. Theerfore giving him little credit.

Yeah, to build it back up you have to tear it down. But he did it so fast that it is easy to forget it usually takes most teams 2-4 years to do what he did on one. That is impressive.
As for Favre being a tie to Wolfe I think that is a crock. Favre said he thought Thompson lied when the media asked if Favre lobbied for Moss. Wait, a GM is not genuine with his intentions and what happens behind locked doors? Seems pretty standard. If you make that supposition that Thompson takes it personally and wants his own stamp, then by the same token Favre is probably bitter because he feels Wolfe would let him act exactly the way Favre is and it would be fine.
The truth is in the middle of both ideas. And I see both sides, and disagree with both and agree with both. I do think that this is a game played a little too much by Mr. Favre and somebody had to put their foot down. BUT, when they put their foot down they needed to do it in a more sympathetic way that treated him with more respect than they did.
BTW, I would care less how he did it (free agent, picks, trades), as long as we were a Super Bowl contender and Division winner.
