C J Anderson has been released and he won’t be the last. With an unusually deep RB group in the draft, teams short of cap space will be cutting a bunch of these guys.

Any read on Sony Michael, RB from Georgia? Looks to have all the necessary tools (including pass blocking). Do you think he will be on the board for our 2nd 3rd pick?

Cards need to have a capable back similar to DJ and Michael might be a good choice.

There are also rumors of Ameer Abdullah being on the trading block. We all know that Keim likes him.

ESPN's knuckleheads believe he's a potential late first-rounder.

Good info. Didn't realize he was getting such high ratings---he only started a few games in his 4 years and thought he might be down the list somewhere.

I think drafting a running back in the 3rd round may be a real good idea.

1. It is a strong group, whereas the WR's available are mediocre
2. Most likely we wont have a functional qb for most of the season, so we should strongly base our offense on the running game.
3. We need a #2 RB badly
4. David Johnson at WR is likely better than any in the draft.

I am not in favor of signing CJ Anderson - he would be an OK backup, but I would much rather have a rookie RB on a rookie contract who potentially has a higher ceiling.

Having DJ as a receiving option takes away some of the worry about our WR room.

I'll bet a dime that DJ gets more yards as a receiver than Dez. LOL.

It's Michel not Michael btw.

I think drafting a RB or signing a FA was always in our plans. I like the idea of drafting one. Nobody knows if DJ will be able to hold onto the ball in heavy contact and also like the idea of not overusing him in the power run game as much I could see more of a young guy handling some of those between the tackle carries and use DJ more in space..

Don't be surprised, after all is said, they bring Peterson back on the cheap.
No he isn't a spell the lead back kinda RB he sucks out of the backfield and why keep using old RBs that are injury prone let's go younger at that position not older to many good young guys that are better then him at this point even thou unproven.

Michel is one of the top ranked runners. Most have him late first or early second. I don’t see the Cards going RB that early unless they move down in the first and acquire an early second.

He seems most likely to sign an incentive ladened deal elsewhere. He wouldn’t make incentive money with the Cards unless DJ was injured.

Jeez...no thank you. We just got rid of him in KW (although I really liked KW). We need a guy that can carry the load if needed.

I'm good with picking up a discarded vet instead of using a draft pick for a RB.

I think he has a similar style to DJ and would be a good back to spell him and keep the offense consistent in my opinion

If unproven, one can't say that X or Y is better.

As said... don't be surprised.
