Recent news has Kobe meeting with the Clippers. Shaq wants to go almost anywhere. Supposedly San Antonio wants to talk with Karl Malone. There is a possibility that all three of these guys might be playing for other teams next year. Wouldn't that totally destroy the Lakers?

Depends what they get for Shaq, but yea, pretty much.

Karl Malone is gone. No big deal for the Lakers. He's not healthy.

I do not believe they are seriously marketing Shaq. They'll say "we tried but could not get value. Teams can't afford you." etc etc. Then he'll either choose to sit out or play.

He might sit for a while, but at some point, he'll make nice with Rudy T and play.

Meanwhile, they will have bent over backwards to keep Kobe. Rudy will put Kobe and Shaq back together and we'll hear some line like "losing in the finals was so traumatic, we were'nt thinking clearly."

Its a good summer soap opera for bored LA fans.
