i didn't hear that. i thought he was the one who took over the play calling duties. playing for parcells and coaching with parcells, gives him creditbility as a head coach canidate. look at what sean payton is doing for the new orleans saints.

Actually they said he'd already be gone but that Crennel is a very loyal to his assts. But he's definitely out at the end of the year,if not sooner.

Using that theory that means Mack Brown can coach

Brown is 31-2 over the last 3 years with two Rose Bowl Championships and a BCS Championship, two straight wins over OU, yet another win over Nebraska in Lincloln, and one of the two losses to the #1 team in the country. Sucker can't coach a lick but he CAN beat Michigan.

But even if he couldn't do anything but recruit with those results who cares.

Are heart attacks anything to be joking about though? Seriously.

Read the post you just replied to again. I said I do think it's a possibility, and no heart attacks aren't a laughing matter. The guy isn't keeping his composer, and as previously stated, he's heavy and doesn't look healthy.

Next time I'll be more P.C. say nervous breakdown.

so can Tressel. I think he's undefeated against them.He might have 1 loss. They are probably going to win it all again this year and i wouldn't want him coaching the Cards. Remember when R.C. Slocum was rumored to be getting the Cards job :hairraise .

Doesn't mean that I'd want him coaching my NFL team, where you can't pick the best 25 players in Texas year after year (or California, if you're Carroll).

I love the idea of Cam Cameron for HC.

That confirms it. Cam Cameron is a bad choice. :D

For what it's worth, I wanted the Cardinals to hire then-Titans OC Mike Heimerdinger to be the head coach after Mac got fired. I still think that he'd be a good choice; now he's an Asst. HC in Denver. 54 years old, coached with the Broncos in the Elway era, coached Steve McNair during his peak. Loved the guy then, like him now.

We'd lose with Knute Hallas Shula Lombardi as our coach.

I can just see your NFL team. Wendall Bryant at DT, Levar Fisher at LB, Calvin Pace getting lots of reps, cut Boldin because he can't make any yards after the catch......

So did I, Bronco fans were all over him earlier in the year but I think they've all now accepted the problem on offense is a QB who can't be trusted. Rumors are they're about to start playing Cutler.

The part I liked is he was a WR coach, but on a team with a great run tradition so you'd assume he'd have some idea who to hire to coach the OL and help the run game, while not ignoring how good our pass game can be.

I've been listening on Fox Sports for awhile now and they discussed the game but the radio guy say they would be talking about Green and if he should be let go but it seemed to me that he thought it wouldn't happen. I hope that's wrong, I think it's time to get rid of Green.

why fire green. it doesn't make any sense to fire him in the middle of the season. fire him at the end of the season. if the bidwills can keep dave mcginnis until the end of the season, then they can keep dennis green until the end of the season.

What I wonder about is why he didn't install the zone-blocking system when he was in Tennessee. Maybe he did, and it wasn't commented on as much for some reason, but I don't remember hearing about that. I'm pretty sure that he didn't do it in New York with Herm Edwards.

Maybe he did run kind of it, but Eddie George was a prototypical power back, not a one-cut guy. I do remember them not having high-profile offensive linemen, so he must have been doing something right.

Just now on the local news, Jude Lacaba didn't say anything about Green being fired, so I'm thinking this is just a rumor at this point.

Every player they interviewed (Dockett and Green) looked confused- James was laughing and said he wasn't expecting this.

Denny did say he isn't an insecure person and mentioned something about not worrying about if his job is secure, said that's another topic. Wasn't fired up at all like after the Bears game-seemed tired.

It only took 2 and a half years to crush his spirit. We should see if AZCardinals.com still has his hiring press conference archived so we can all see how coaching this franchise has broken his spirit.

This used to be one of the fiestiest coaches in the NFL.

It was probably just a recycling of the same rumor posted here yesterday. If it started with Mark Curtis it's pure bunk. Unless he just happened to luck out, but he is not in the "know".

The Cards and their coaches seem to wear out about this time every year. Maybe it has to do with the time change. Everywhere else in the country the time changes next week. In Arizona things stay the same. Year after Year.

James was laughing

I like James less and less all the time, and I never really liked him.

I remember one time coming back from an early season loss playing HS baseball, on the bus back to our school. A couple of the guys cracked some jokes on the back of the bus. Coach absolutely ripped us apart. Practice the next day, well, more like the sprints we ran for an hour the next day, was one of the worst ever. We didn't joke much anymore after losses, well actually, we didn't lose many after that practice that year.

Yeah, I know, this is the NFL not some high school baseball team. But laughing and blowing off the pathetic game we all just watched is not acceptable.

so we brought Emmitt to tears and James to the brink of hysterics. Awesome. You gotta love this team.

Glad someone else feels the same way I do. Saw him laughing after the game and I wanted to smack him in the head. I was fearful when he first arrived demanding changes in the locker room etc. I really don't like this guy at all.
