For the past three days I have seen more TV, Newspaper press on the Cardianls than I have ever seen. Emmitt is everywhere. I saw him twice on TV last night with the big Cardinal logo in the back. His very big picture was on the front page of the sports section in our paper. There was a good article in USA today. You got to believe getting our name out there has an effect on our own players and possible free agents. I think his mere presence on this team adds something. If he puts more fans in the stands that helps the players. Listening to him talk last night on TV was really impressive. He said he was not there to replace Marcel Shipp but to help this team win. Emmitt has almost overnight given us instant respectability. It has sure fired me up and is nice to look in the paper and see the name of a Cardinal and mention of the Cardinal team. If you are a Cardinal player you are going to be able to tell your kids you played with perhaps the greatest runner of all time. He is going to get our guys to give that extra bit of effort that just might make us turn a corner. If you a re BIG and Emmitt is running behind your block you just know BIG is going to be even BIGGER.
