Happy to Dansby back. He should be a one-year upgrade over minter. Likely draft a young guy in 1st or 2nd. Signing some old dudes in him and Bethea. Hope it works.
Peppers, Hooker and Adams are Top 13 prospects. Hopefully one of them should be available to us.

Or - if we want to bolster ourselves at LB, we could add Foster, Riddick or Cunningham to bring additional youth to our LB corps. That's 6 safeties or LB's from our Top 13. Throw in Allen (to mitigate the loss of Calais) and that's 7 players out of 13.

We should get one of them & do OK in the first round

stopgap for a year... more than fine with it. If he can be Larry Foote-esque for one more run this year, while we hopefully draft a stud ILB in the first or second round making our LBing corps pretty damn awesome (again, assuming we actually HIT on a first round ILB)

Bengal fans are saying Dansby played slower than usual last year, which is understandable given his age and years of experience. This signing is just plain bad.

Slower in comparison to what? Because did he not just play only one year with the Bengals and I doubt the Cincy fans where really following his career around, and playing Cleveland twice is a small sample size in my opinion

Moves like this do not evoke confidence in the FO or the coaching staff. They just let the three best tacklers on the team go in FA. Yes, they signed a baller in Bethea, but he's 33 years old. And now they sign Dansby, at age 35?

my hope is he's basically Larry Foote for a season... the guy who replaced Dansby back in 2014 and did a solid job for one year.

And Dansby doesn't have to replace a player of 2013 Dansby's worth... he has to replace Minter, who pretty much sucks. If he can be Foote-esque (and there's no reason to believe he can't), that's at least a slight upgrade over Minter.

We flat out couldn't match the money CC and Jefferson got dude. We would of been stupid to give them those contracts and who says a player wants to stay in arizona anyways who knows guys just might want to live in another area for any given reason.

Quite the opposite. The Cardinals FO showed restraint in not overpaying three of their FAs. Yes Jefferson and Campbell were really good players and it sucks to see them go. However tying up $24M per year in those two guy would have been totally stupid considering the Cardinals current cap situation.

If they are building for the future I would agree with you. There is exactly one year left in our current window. They need to either be in a full rebuild mode or all out mode. Signing Gresham and Bethea is trying to play both sides, which will NOT work.

I have never bought into the 'all in' theory. Manage the team well and you can have shots at the SB for a LONG time.

Only the Patriots and possibly the Steelers have been able to do that consistently. Everyone else goes through peaks and valleys.

And us. There just isnt a big enough sample size yet.

;)

Clearly the sample size has shown us having far more valleys than peaks....

Just watched the presser.... I am ready for the season now. Los is going to really have a huge emotional impact on the defense.

All joking aside, I have been watching Keim for the last couple years. What he says and what he does. I think he thinks he can pull it off. I hope he does.

I love this guy. Wish we would have kept him. He is so light and fun, everything is a joke.
