Based on the fact that Williams is going to be the DC for Gibbs in Washington, I would think Gray would be the odds on favorite to go there.

I don't know buckeye....based on this alone he probably has more credentials than Joe greene in coaching:
prior to that spent the previous four seasons as an assistant with Gregg Williams at the Tennessee Titans, including the last two as defensive backs coach…helped Tennessee finish as the NFL's #1 ranked pass defense and total defense in 2000 and also guided two All-Pro starters at each position in the Titans secondary

Actually would love to have him.......would have to be an improvement over "let's play our CB's 10 yards away every play" Marmie.

Why would he go be a position coach and get paid less than be a coordinator here and get paid more? Or is this your theory becasue you think no one will ever want to coach under Green?

....which brings me to a question....so do you think this would be the trend with Green's hirings?
Hiring a "newbie" at a top position like this, rather than someone who's been there and done that already?
Don't get me wrong, I really know very little about Gray himself, so I really don't have a strong opinion obout his abilities one way or the other.
I just find it ironic that now I'm seeing a lot of people seemingly "change their tune" all of a sudden.
Where's all this - no more inexperienced top coaches please? ??

First of all, I would refer you to Pinnacle's post.
He's been a protege of Williams. I would just expect him to give staying with him and going to Washington with Williams and Gibbs first consideration.
As to the money? What would you say we're talking about as far as difference in pay?
And finally NO! Although I am skeptical as to who he would indeed attract, that's not the reason I stated what I did.
