JS did OK vs Denver and will probably do OK with Carolina. What I'm waiting for is Dallas. By tyen he'll have two games under his belt and this will be a "real" test. I can't wait and really hope he is successful.

If he does well against Carolina (completing 60% of his passes, 45% on third down, 1 TD, 1 INT), then that'll be good. Carolina's a bad football team, but it's not because of their 15th-ranked defense.

Yeah, they're 26th in scoring defense, but that's largely because their offense is so stinky that they leave a lot of short fields. Their pass defense allows opposing QBs just a 78.4 rating on the season (in a division with Drew Brees, no less). Weirdly, they have the same amount of sacks as us.

Man... they're close to us in almost every defensive statistical category. The Carolina Panthers are the Arizona Cardinals with an even stinkier offense.

Also overlooked in the euphoria of some other NFL team besides ours stinking up the place and our QB not looking like one of the three stooges was a 4/16 mark on third down for the Cards. Not good.

If they're looking for ways to get LSH more involved in the offense, they should line him up in the backfield on passing downs and then split him out wide and use him as an underneath receiver. I'll bet he could make a guy or two miss on the WR screen.

This is what I have been wanting the Cards to do with LSH. Get him in the open field and let the fun begin!
