Walker with another bomb and again in a later inning game.

Now let’s hope our pitching can hold them.

Walker needs to stay in the starting line-up even when Lamb comes back.

Have a bad feeling about this series. Pirates are good, we are mediocre, im thinking at least losing 3 of 4 if not a 4 game sweep.
You might not want to give up on the D-backs hitters in late innings. They are the best in the Majors. :clapping:

I’m pretty sure that’s why Bearfumes was going on about how well he’s hit right handed pitching.

And now 9-4 as Marte pinch hits an RBI. Runners on 1st and 3rd with no one out.

L I D -- Late Inning Diamondbacks. The lid comes off. :)

Then the reliever Burdi goes down after throwing a pitch. His right arm is in pain.
Lefty Liriano is on in relief and Dyson walks. Bases are loaded and still no out.

Escobar with a bloop hit and it's 10-4. Again, bases still loaded.

That really sucks. Poor guy was overcome with emotion, you could see his back shaking. Hate to see that.

Jones singles in 2 and its 12-4. Runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out.

D-backs batting around for the second inning in a row.

And Vargas pinch hitting loads the bases -- again -- with a single.

Eleven unanswered runs so far against the team with the lowest ERA.

Man, what an offensive explosion! Doesn't mean Torey didn't screw up leaving Godley in the game in the 5th, but the resiliency is nice to see.

A win with Godley in the mound is a double bonus.

Didn’t think it was possible for him to be even more bizarre than last year.

Unsung hero of the game: Matt Andriese.

After the mess Godley made, and the initial double Andriese gave up, I am sure I was not alone in thinking "here we go again". Instead, Andriese settled down, buckled down and pitched two sensational innings from there to keep the game within reach and give us a glimmer of hope entering the 7th.

This win probably doesn't happen without him.

Yes!!!
See what can happen when they don’t put Bradley in?

GO SNAKES!
Based on performances, the Suns really need to take a look at who
would be their best choices for 7th and 8th inning relief specialists.

Then present it as an opportunity to Archie and Yoshi to work their
ways back. It is a fine line between unconditional loyalty and doing
what is best for the team. Management needs to find it.

What happened?
Burdi, their pitcher, grabbed his bicep after the pitch and kneeled to the ground in obvious pain. Either bicep or elbow but it looked like he grabbed his bicep first.
