Pariah, think of it this way, I really dont think Wiz would be exposing him by showing his skills 2nite if the wanted to sneek him thru
neither will, we have to keep them all
Run some plays. This is ridiculous.
I totally disagree with you. Rodgers was a better QB coming out of college than Smith, but couldn't shake the Tedford bust tag. I wanted us to draft him at the time instead of Rolle
well tha is not going to hsppen
No way. You don't risk injury on stuff that doesn't matter.
Most Niner fans wanted Aaron Rodgers as well because he was a local kid, went to Cal, and was a die hard Niner fan. Our FO just fell in love with Alex Smith because of his intelligence and work ethic.
Anyway, this is all old news. Smith and Rodgers are actually good friends in real life so I hope they both do well.
I'm not sure either would. I'm pretty sure Hall wouldn't.
Skelton is all potential right now, Hall is much closer to NFL ready.
The people on the field needs reps. It isn't starters out there.
we gave up an extra pick and player to move up for Skelton. To cut him would make that trade a real blunder. I just can't see them cutting Skelton. But, Hall is not going to clear waivers either.
There may be room for 4 QB because I think S. Williams has made Andre Roberts the next Buster Davis...and to think cards could of had Bowman there...Agreed I don't think we cut Skelton either. I'm not sure we can afford to keep 4 QB's though. Hall is closer to NFL ready but I don't know if you want him as your #2 this year so it's a really tough decision for the team to make.
I'm fairly confident though that if Hall is cut someone else snaps him up and I love the kid.

I am sure lots of 49er fans wanted him but not most, the SJ Merc took a poll a couple of days before the draft and Smith won easily. Maybe they voted who they THOUGHT the team would pick since by then it was fairly obvious they were picking Smith.
It was a horrible blunder, set the franchise back several years by passing on a Pro Bowl QB. I wanted Rodgers for the Cards I loved the guy at Cal.
They are good friends but that doesn't change that SF took the wrong guy.
Has Aaron Rodgers ever won anything? has he even won a playoffs game? No. Did the Giants make the wrong trade in Eli Manning as well because Rivers is clearly the better QB? Maybe you should wait a few years from now before making that statement.

Yeah it's Rodgers fault they didn't win a playoff game last year right? I mean he put up 45 points but because of the fumble in OT after the missed bomb he lost the game right?
Rodgers was 28-42 over 400 yards and 4 TD's(1 pick) in that loss, Green Bay's defense lost that game not Rodgers.
And no I don't think I should wait a few years Alex has started plenty of games as has Rodgers to be clear who's the better QB. Smith might get better than he is now but he's given no indication he'll ever be as good as Rodgers, and Rodgers is getting better still.
It's not even debatable, that pick set the franchise back years, had they taken Rodgers SF would have been much better on offense the last few years.
You should've stopped here. Just stop. You were doing so good.Go read a Mike McCarthy interview about those two. Aaron Rodgers inherited a 11-5 team while Smith was thrown into the wolves and got injured multiple times--totally different situations. Even Mike McCarthy has said Aaron Rodgers is completely a different QB than he was back then.
