Ok, a couple things.

- The absence of an inside presence to even CLOSELY guard Shaq is even more apparent. Bryan Colangelo: Go get us someone who can bang. I don 't care if he plays OL for the Cards... just go get someone.

- As Joe Johnson goes... so go the Suns.

- The more Googs sits... the more I like our chances.

- Let's see what a little pressure does to the Lakers. Hopefully, PHX will be able to make a run or two.

LOL

Nuggets 66 Kings 55 - Halftime

Who could imagine the Nuggets outscoring the Raptors over a full game in less than 2 quarters?

Also Cleveland looks like they can really make the playoffs this year with Lebron.
Say hello to our additional first round pick!

Well, here's the good:

--Suns are shooting well, for the first time this year
--Jake and Amare have only 2 fouls each
--Suns are hanging around

and the bad:

--7 fouls total for the Lakers, including zero for Shaq
--Suns shot 1 free throw in the first 23:57
--More loser bandwagon Lakers fans than Suns fans in AWA?
--Malone and Shaq did whatever they felt like in the first half; no reason for things to change in the second half

I have to say, pretty much what I expected, except for the 2 fouls and the complete lack of home-court advantage...looks like the refs aren't interested in dramatic tension after all...;)

Oh, btw...GO SUNS!

As I said earlier, the Suns have a couple of guys on IR right now who might be able to provide inside presence down the line.

Sucks to be playing the Lakers so early, though.

Lakers 30 rebounds
Suns 16 rebounds

If we could rebound equally well we would probably leading by 10.

There aren't going to be any easy victories for the Phoenix Suns this season. The Clippers aren't very good. Neither are the Warriors, but the Suns have had some close games with those two teams over the last few years.

Here are some teams that looks terrible on paper but are actually playing well.

Milwaukee
Atlanta
Utah (although they are getting blown out now)
Memphis
Denver

Karl Malone says, "What happened to Karl Malone head on Amare dunk."

What was that referee thinking? George clearly used his all form to push Shawn Marion and Amare Stoudemire off. Instead of Marion gets called for the foul.

I can't believe this game was just tied. Then Payton travels and gets the easy basket.

All of a sudden: The Lakers look old.

Shaq could score 80 tonight, but GP wants to make it a duel with Starbury.

An early observation. The Suns seem to take much better care of the ball than last season.

Spoke too soon. JJ is using grease on his hands once again.

In comes Googs... Shaq goes to town. Nice front without help, Googs.

Also it happened at least 4 times in three games that the Suns didn't get the defensive rebound after a missed freethrow.

Don't fall in love with the outside shots! They were doing well when they were moving the ball around, but now it's all one-on-one.

Amare Stoudemire looks absolutely wiped out. He's slow as a turtle on the double teams right now.

Not sure if this is good or bad, but as soon as Scott Williams comes back, I think Googs will be the one whose minutes suffer the most.

I can't believe they didn't call a foul on Marion's last shot.

He got totally mugged after he got back his missed shot.
