Looking forward to seeing some improvement/changes from the last time they played the Warriors.

Tonight's game
Warriors at Suns
When: 7 p.m.
Where: America West Arena.
TV/Radio: TNT/KTAR-AM (620).
Warriors update: After losing to the Clippers by 30 on Monday without Baron Davis, the Warriors have been in Phoenix since Tuesday in preparation for tonight's preseason closer. The Warriors beat the Suns in Oakland last week when Mike Dunleavy scored 30. Davis has been bothered by a tight hamstring and has shot only 41 percent when he has played.

Game Outlook
Phoenix closes out preseason play against those much-improved Warriors of Golden State, who will be looking to prove a point this year and make a run at the playoffs. Of course, being that this is the last game of the exhibition schedule, it’s hard to know for sure how each coach will approach it. Do they give their starters big minutes as a final tune-up for the regular season, or do they rest their key players in order to take one last look at the young prospects on the roster? Either way, we’re guessing this is going to be a hotly contested ball game, with both teams looking to enter 2005-06 on a high note.

Not able to watch or listen, what is with Richardson, 14pts already? Anyone on the Suns playing him?

We keep double-teaming in the post (because evidently we haven't learned from last year), leaving Richardson open

Hes draining threes, but Nash is playing at a high level as well....we have the parts, we are just missing a spectacularly athletic big man.......;)

If/When Amare comes back at a 100%, we win it all no doubt in my mind....the supporting players are so much better than last years.....

This is the 4th preseason game I have watched and the shooting is the worst I have seen.

Even with open shots they are just not falling.

GS seems to be getting the breaks so far.

Still only down 7 after 1 qtr.

Thanks, but can't they leave someone else open, anyone but Richardson? (memo to self, this is just preseason)

52-51 phx. :)

Diaw looks pretty solid. I think KT has 3 fouls already, not quite what I expected. Pretty bad shooting, kind of neat that we're winning.

Gah... Shawn is such a bad interview. :p

We're not shooting very well, but we're still up by 1 at the half. Diaw is very impressive to watch and is going to be a crucial part of this team IMO. He's very active on the offensive boards and has great "instincts." I think he's going to flourish in our system.

Good to see they did not fold their tent and slink away. That was something they did so well last year, no lead was safe. (Yeah, I know it worked both ways)

Shawn just needs to talk a little slower and he would be fine.

I guess that can be hard if you are all pumped up on adreneline.

There are going to be some good battles between these two teams this year.

Sure wish we had Amare.

I wonder how other teams would do without one of their best players on the floor.

Wow this is the first game I have seen this season and I don't recognize anyone out there.

I like Jones a lot
Rifford played well; I might be turning my opinion around with a few more performances like this.
Bell is a defensive stopper love him
Thomas look like a slug out there but boards really well.

Great to see the Suns bench(plus Jones, Bell) beat the Warriors closing unit down the stretch. Montgomery really went with his best lineup to try to win and...oops. Didn't work out so well.

The free throw shooting ability of the guys on the court at the end was an advantage. Barbosa steal to seal the win was cool!

Shot terribly the entire game, had way to many turnovers, yet still managed 97 points and a win. Bring on the Mavs!

BTW, I'll be in the chat for the season opener as well. I look forward to chatting with all of you who were there last year, as well as any others who would like to come on in!

Exciting game to watch even if I winced a few too many times. NAsh seemed a little wild tonight (or more likely the team just isn't up to his tempo yet), Diaw was impressive save the occasional missed layup and missed dfensive assignment, KT is starting to have me worried, Jones is impressive to a degree I did not expect. I enjoyed watching this game considerably more than the Sacramento game even though the Sac game had us in better form.

Horrible game but nice to get a win. Even if it doesn't count.

I wonder about the effect of the back to back.

I don't think Thomas hit a shot all night although he had several open looks.

Also nice to close out the game against Davis, Richardson, Dunleavy, and Murphy with Marion and Nash on the bench.

Ready for the games to count.

Great confidence builder for the new guys.

Also, I have to say that Doug Collins and Marv Albert are a horrible combination. I wanted to slash my wrists listening to that lively pair.

It was Kevin Harlan, not Marv Albert. Those two always do the games together. I actually like those two though. They sure beat the hell out of the announcers that do the ESPN and ABC games.

BTW, I think the most impressive thing about tonight's game was the rebounding. We out rebounded them by 17 tonight.
