Palmer is awful!!! Stanton may be average at best, but average would have won that game for us today. Stanton knows the offense & can throw on the move. Arians has been outcoached badly. The carousel continues.

Yep, Stanton & his HOF stats win that game for us. ;)

There's a reason he's been a career backup

Whats Stanton going to do thatll lose us games? Throw a ton of picks? Be awful altogether? We havent seen that out of QB this year.

Stanton knows BAs system better than CP. So Stanton has a legitimate leg up. Hes not just some backup. He brings some value.

And it doesnt matter if hes 2nd string. When your starter blows, you gotta make a change.

How is he being out coached. Bottom line we hold on to the ball and we win the game. We overcame those two early picks but that's Fitzgerald fumble was the back breaker. Arians can't go out there and make plays for em

The Cards are spotted with talent throughout its roster but far too mistake-prone.

The defense played lights-out in the 1H and kept us in the game, but eventually wore down and, among other things, let SF run off 18 plays that consumed 9:42.

CC's injury was the final nail - the wind went out with a big whooosh (on defense offense and ST's) and that was pretty much it.

We can run with these dawgs, but maybe not on a sustained basis and not unless we cut down on 80% of our mistakes.

Between Carson and Arians the Cards deserved to lose this game against the team I hate, that just sucks.

Fine, I'll stand alone (or in a small group). I like Arians and I like our future with him. He didn't fumble a single time in this game nor did he throw a single interception. And while I'd have liked to have seen Stanton get his chance, teams don't succeed by yanking their QB's every time they screw up. You let them go much further afield than any other player because it is very disruptive to make a switch at that position.

I am with you. The biggest mistake he made IMHO was putting Smith in the game in that situation, but worst case should have been no gain, but fumble. Arians rallied the troops after the two INT's and made some nice offensive adjustments.

When you are you going to quit this place again? Those thread are always the best. Almost as good when you call out people for giving you low thread ratings.

I got interrupted in the middle of my comment, it ended up taking me over 15 minutes from start to post. IOW, it was not a direct response to your comment although I can see why you thought that.

Yeah. Bugel never fumbled or missed a tackle or threw a pick. Neither did Tobin or McGinnis, or Green or Whisenhunt. Same old Cardinals. But hey its just fun to watch to see what goofy thing they do next.

The game turns basically on a Fitzgerald Fumble!!

You gotta love Cardinal football.

I go in phases, but I can't tell if your trying to sign up for the fan club or the hater list...both have many spots available.

This... I would also add that BA needs to fix whatever the issue is with getting offensive
plays called on time so Palmer isn't always up against the play clock!

All things considers, this team is playing at a level that is above my expectations. And yea - Palmer certainly isn't taking us to the Super Bowl... But did ya think he was? What has been true since Kurt left remains true today - we still are in dire need of our QBoF!

First half Harbaugh calls TO to avoid a delay of game, same situation Arians doesn't and we get a delay. Next play Arians calls a pass play from the endzone sack safety. That's coaching.

the 2 point conversion was both a terrible idea, and a ridiculous play call. If we had scored a TD down 9 the conversion would have looked really stupid.

Obviously Smith can't fumble(nor should Fitz) but he got cute, tried to sneak a play for Smith when frankly he should have been throwing the ball anyways.

Not a horrible coach but he's making mistakes that in close games you can't afford.

You are not alone. I am with you. I think Arians is doing a good job. I always figured that it would take at least half the season for the offense to get on the same page. Nothing I have seen so far has got me worried. I'm going to wait till the last part of the season for that.
