Games like these are why the coaching staff gets questioned.

I dunno. Kliff didn’t fold up shop and go conservative when he had to start Colt McCoy for three games. Kliff hasn’t blamed his players of coaching staff despite some bad losses the past two seasons. I have no reason to think that Kliff is mentally or emotionally soft.

The quarterback OTOH…

Look.. I don’t like Kliffy… never have. So I’m likely not the most objective person when it comes to him.
Tonight he made some questionable decisions, a few that the announcers even openly questioned. Can it be simply a matter of a guy never being in these spots before as a head coach? I guess… but that doesn’t make me feel any better if true. Rather, my opinion is Kliffy is simply not a clutch, big game mentally strong head coach. He’s just not…
Who knows… maybe he grows and matures and becomes something I don’t think he is. But again, I doubt it…

Kind of hilarious how our record managed to improve each year under Kliff but folks still have a lot of doubt about it.

I'm just as mad as anyone on the board right now but tonight things didn't go our way point blank. If things go our way we win 34-30 but they didn't. Coulda, shoulda, woulda. Batted balls, dropped pass by Hopkins, Green & Kyler not on the same page on the long throw that shoulda been a TD. I could go on & on. As bad as our rush defense is & played tonight we still were in the game the whole time. I'll take 10-3 right now & having to go on the road in the playoffs because we suck at home. This was round 2 against the Rams with another opportunity to possibly play them again. Not giving up over one game. Divisional games are tough because both teams know one another too well. We'll probably have a better chance of advancing in the playoffs against a team that hasn't faced us yet & on the road even. With that being said, only the Bucs right now would be a team we have yet to face that will be in the playoffs.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t have doubts about Kliff winning games. I have doubts about winning late season, big time clutch games…
We’ll see… Cards are now 2 & 2 over the last 4 games… Trending? Or, can Kliffy and Kyler lead the team to clutch W’s? We’ll see…

Played poorly? He has 20@ yards in the first half. Got the yards to tie it up.

The int was a tip and the green miss was an inside or outside decision
It was a terrible decision. Only a perfect throw could’ve scored there.

How can you say this when Murray has played so poorly?
He alone accounted for 450 yards. But, yes, the picks were killers, but still tough to blame him for the tipped pass. Let’s not forget Hopkins dropping an easy catch inside the 5 that should have resulted in 7 more points for us. Or the beautiful pass to Rondale that he didn’t get his feet down. And his 30 yard run that was called back on a holding penalty. We will NOT be able to regularly beat the big boys on the street until our OL improves.

I always think this is a ridiculous thing to attribute to Kliff.

We started at an all time low point with one of the worst rosters ever and year after year we have invested heavily in improving it.

Would have been practically impossible not to get better year on year.

But 10-3? That's a huge improvement.

Sure it is. And Kliff has definitely improved. But the main reason we improved every year is we drafted a #1 QB who has got better with experience and invested heavily in massively improving the roster.

Kliff was part of it but not a major part.

He's the head coach and calls the plays and he is not a major part of it? But he sure gets all the blame if something goes wrong.? Can't have it both ways. He is a work in progress and is progressing. For the record I did not like his hiring but the results speak for themselves. He has a lot to learn but he is very young, and very smart. I like the direction we are heading. Just my 2 cents.

That holding call on that run was total bs imo. Garcia wasn't holding long enough to even warrant that call. Kyler had already ran well past the play. Even the announcers didn't think it was holding.

Had the roster stayed the same quality would we have seen the same trajectory? No.

The main reasons our record improved so much is vastly improved rosters year on year. Kliff is a part of it, not a big enough part of it to get crowned with "The only coach to improve every year".

You guys really want this team to get homefield advantage. Hilarious.

The Texans played us tougher at home than any team we played on the road.

This fanbase should be praying we go on the road in the postseason.

Call me a fool if you want, but it’s 100% true.
Fool.

3 games vs 2 games.

Kind of funny. This roster was heavily criticized by this board due to his old veteran signings, lack of resources in the secondary, questionable OL & also DL, TE being a HUGE question mark, & even the Conner signing was looked at funny.

The only off-season transition that was looked at as “massively improved” was the Hudson trade. That’s it.

Lets not act like this roster was looked at as “massively improved” before the season because it definitely was not.
