We keep thinking that the Eagles will be in play for Boldin, which is probably true.

However, I wonder how a trade of Edwards might give the Browns some interest in Boldin. He's a veteran and a leader. Something the Browns desparately need.

According to the New York Post, "there is no new news to indicate" that Braylon Edwards is "expected" to be dealt to the Giants before the draft as Yahoo.com reported Tuesday.

The Giants remain interested, but Edwards' reported demands of upwards of $10 million per year and the Browns' asking price of a first- and third-rounder are stumbling blocks. Still, the Giants realize the chances of landing an impact receiver late in the first round are slim.

Dear Lord, please let Ocho Cinco get traded to the Detroit Lions. Amen.

(85 is retired for the Lions)

LOL! That would be awesome. :)

If the Browns get a 1st and 3rd for Edwards, then we should definitely demand more for Boldin.

Of course, now that word is out that the Cards are willing to listen to offers for Boldin, I am guessing that some of the attention on Edwards will be taken away. Why give a 1st and 3rd for Edwards if you could possibly get Boldin?

I take this report as...

"A deal was close between the Browns and the Giants until the Giants realized they might get Boldin for just a little bit more"

LOL! That would be awesome. :)

the cards will likely only get draft picks out of a team like the giants or any team for that matter. I think the g-men are interested in edwards more, but I'm sure the cards are hoping to get some intersest from the NYG with their latest statment. the situations with edwards and boldin are different...but I don't see where the asking price should be terribly different.

El Foot-o/Shoot-o...

I just want to point out that Giant GM Jerry Reese just shot himself in the proverbial foot (Oh the irony! Pardon the pun)

Speaking about the Boldin trade rumors and to the issue of the importance of a primo wideout like Larry Fitzgerald to being a Super Bowl contender, Reese(somewhat arrogantly) said in the effect that "the Cardinals haven't won anything" and that "almost isn't good enough." (note - it's one thing for we Cardinal fans to say it; but totally obnoxious for an opposing GM to mouth off like that).

But that's OK because it plays right into the Cardinals hands '

A day or so ago, Q was being interviewed by Deon Sanders and said something to the effect that when he arrived in AZ, he felt his mission was to turn around the losing culture in the desert. The implication being that, since we reached the Super Bowl, his mission was accomplished.

Jerry Reese makes an exquisite case for Boldin not going anywhere - I hope everyone who wants Q to remain a Cardinal points out to Anquan that "almost isn't good enough", his mission is not yet accomplished and that - if he wants to be known as the dude who turned around the franchise - he still has some unfinished business to take care of.

If Q winds up staying, we'll have Jerry Reese to thank.

I guess it just depends on which way you look at it. Jim kelley is in the hall of fame and I'm sure the bills fanbase would like to have their old team back. Hell I'd be happy if the cowboys could trade some of the regular season wins for a playoff victory.
