Giants vs. Dbacks series thread

Enrique Gonzalez will pitch on three days rest tomorrow against Jason Schmidt in the first game of the series. This is a critical stretch in the season for the Dbacks, who face NL West opponents in 19 of the next 22 games.

Enrique...on three days rest.. well, lets hope he has a good day then. We're going too need it right about now if we have any hope too make a move divisionaly or in the Wild Card, we can start tommorow. The Giants come in playing like crap, and we aren't the same team they beat back in June.

The double header screwed the rotation up.... typically teams will call up a pitcher from AAA but we don't really have anyone

Dbacks starting off well, 2-1 in the second against Schmidt and the Giants. San Francisco has really been struggling the last couple weeks, not picking up at least two wins this series would be a disappointment for the Dbacks, even without Webb starting.

So far so good for the Dbacks if we can keep scoring runs we can win this thing. For some reason the Giants always play good against us, I have no clue why they do, but we need to score often.


Enrique has really surprised me, three days rest and he's pitching great. Granted it's only been three innings but still, anytime this guy pitchs good it deserves recognition. Hopefully he can keep up the strikeouts and double plays *knock on wood*

I agree. I was surprised, that after 3 of our guys getting hit , we didn't retaliate. I hope we do tommorrow night. Also, why did Melvin bring in the new pitcher when he had Meddars. I would think you would have waited until we were leading by many or losing by many before bringing him in.
