Who is talking about it right now? I've been listening to ESPN 1000 all day and after reading this I started listening to the SCORE and I have'nt heard a single thing about it. No one is talking about this in Chicago. If there is any truth to this rumor I'd be all for the trade. Thomas is great RB, not very flashy, but he gets the job done. I think this rumor is BS though.

If you look at the backs Green's had he seems to find a way to use them regardless of their styles. Until Smith took off he got contributions from all sorts of different types. Hell Amp Lee caught 71 balls for him one season and only had 69 carries that year.
Green seems to find a way to utilize different backs, so I'm not too worried about his system just yet. I'm sure he'd like to have a Robert Smith clone, but he managed pretty well without Smith for a number of years.

I think the A Train has just been in the GM's doghouse since his 2nd season, when he underachieved...He played well last year, though...But, just ask Kendall, how you played last year doesn't mean crap this year. I'd bring him in for a 3rd Rounder and a bag of turnips.

a 2nd is a bit much for A-Train IMO. A 3rd - I'd jump on it - but considering how bad I think we'll be this year, that 2nd round pick is gonn abe awful high - maybe if it was a 2006 2nd - but why would the Bears go for that?

The fact that the Cardinals couldn't convert on 3rd/4th and short gives creedence to the rumor. I think that was the single most irritating aspect of last weeks game to Denny Green. A-Train is the type of back who will get you that first down.

I'm heavily leaning towards this being BS. One, someone in Chicago refuted his claim that it was all over Chi-Town sports talk. Two, if this was breaking in Chicago you think Bickley would have sources who know about it and it would be all over 910 right now no matter where he is. Three, this southsider has a repuation with starting false rumors.

He did have two 60 yard TD runs against Green Bay last year(One of them was called back because of a David Terrell holding penalty). He really can't burn it to the outside, but if he gets room up the middle he can take it to the house. The best quality about Thomas is his lack of fumbles! He rarely turns it over.
