Well done, FO. Well done.

It seems like we need a speed receiver every year. Now we have one. Welcome to AZ, Mr. Ginn.

it's so foreign to this fan to actually see the team making moves that makes a lot of sense more often then not.

I think this is an excellent signing for the Cardinals. Ginn has great speed and his hands are "good enough". He is going to have a very definite role in this offense and his skill set is exactly what the Cardinals are looking for.

The only thing that could make this a negative is the $$$

Or signing a player, then immediately asking who they are and having to look up info to figure it out.

Exactly what we needed. Very excited.

Miami drafted him as a #1, so what if he isn't that. We're not Miami.

He wasn't a fit for the 49ers offense, and Smith was their QB for the majority of the time he was there...and Harbaugh was even more conservative on offense.

He was a fit for Carolina with strong armed Newton and shined.

Now he has another strong arm (but less strong) QB in Palmer with a coach who loves to throw it deep. Between Fitz, Floyd, and Ginn....there's going to be some good match ups and wide open guys this year. When any of them catch it, odds are sometimes there will be less defenders nearby to tackle hopefully resulting in more YAC across our WR core. Plus we finally have a LT to help let the receivers get downfield.

We now won't have Arenas screwing up our field position on kick offs. Which of course since we don't need him, lowers his value to us, and allows us, if we want to, to sign a better talent at corner.

I think people are going to be surprised with what he brings. I absolutely can't wait to see him utilized and how his presence helps everyone else get open.

Great move BA/SK. Great move.

JV and Ginn represent major upgrades in important areas. If the contract is decent, it would represent great value. Keim is hitting it out of the park so far. Alot of needs and deficiencies filled with little coin. Great job!

edit: 3 yrs for 9.75 isn't a great deal, but it also isn't bad. Cheaper then Roberts, with a defined role, and remember, while we have PP and Fitz to deal with in upcoming year, just remember the cap is going to start going up most likely 10+ mill per year through the end of the decade. Crazy contracts are going to start being handed out left and right, and I think we're already seeing it this year. 3 for 9.75m for 2014-2016 is just fine.

I wouldn't say he shined. He barely averaged 2 catches for 35 yards a game in his "best" season last year.

For a speed receiver that is not a starting receiver that is actually quite good. A 3rd-4th receiver with those numbers are quite nice.

You don't need to throw deep 10 times a game to him to be effective. 3-4 times with 2 catches is all you need to accomplish what we want. He had 4 25yd or more td catches last year. Hopefully we use him a bit more then that though.

You put that in this offense, and those 5 td's could open up 5 more to Floyd and Fitz, or bigger running lanes for our backs.

He shined because he did what they asked him to do very well in a limited role. His stats are misleading, and why people can't rely just on statistics.

I've wanted this guy on our team for years.

He also had 4 receptions for 104 yards against the Niners in their playoff game loss to them.

Ginns best season was about the same as Houslers best season last year and Housler was playing on a gimpy ankle and bad groin for a good part of it.

Ginn:

35 receptions 556 yards

Housler:

39 receptions 454 yards

If he can hang onto the ball it's not that bad of a number. Cheaper than Roberts deal with the Redskins.

I want to see the guarantees. if the 9.75 is with hitting every incentive, the contract is truly much smaller than that.

Apples and oranges. No one is saying Ginn is going to have a 1,000 yard season. He's not a possession receiver (or a tight end), he isn't going to get a lot of looks. He played his role on Carolina's offense last year fine, which was to be a deep threat on a team that had the 3rd fewest pass attempts in all of football. He had 7 games where he caught a 25+ yard pass, that's the same thing the Cardinals will be asking him to do: stretch the defense to give Fitz and Floyd more room to work with and catch some longer passes. He's not a #1 or #2 and is a very good punt and kick returner as well, he's a great fit for what we are looking for in a WR on offense and as a return man on special teams.

That was a odd blip for me Mulli, we fixed that soon enough and not the norm... now the OL and TE, that becomes fun for us but a miracle seems to be in progress with the OL lol
