Ginn will be the return man. Just based on what he said in the two video links posted. PP is done as a return man barring injuries.

Adding Ginn creates many more problems for opposing DCs now. A 3 WR set with Ellington in the backfield creates so many matchup problems for the opposing defense. Ellington on a LB is a win every time. Ginn's speed almost forces a team to keep a deep safety to help over the top. This offense is going to be so much fun to watch. Don't be surprised to see this offense post 50 points in a game this season. It should certainly be a top 10 offense. I think Dwyer is going to surprise a lot of people.

I totally agree. This offense has the opportunity to be scary good. And if we draft a legit TE - look out!

We really needed this element to open our offense up and now we have it. I think this was a great signing.

to be honest, with the amount of scratch we threw at Ginn, it makes no sense to not have him returning kicks. Paying 3.3 million per for a below average WR doesn't make sense. they have to be thinking he's the Punt/Kick return man as well, or else they wouldn't have paid him as much as they did.

here is what I think this means:

this is a signing for THIS year that provides a speed element to the WR corp.

i also think its about having some sort of decent fall back if the team has to go without Larry Fitz in 2015. In that case -- you have Floyd / Ginn with a younger player added either via this draft or the next.

This isnt a contract for a spot #3 guy -- the incentives say that if Ginn becomes that #2 guy in 2015, he gets paid like it.

Good points, and I think they will closely watch the continued development of Floyd. If they are comfortable with him moving to the #1 spot then Fitz will have some tough decisions to make regarding his salary.

While this is from last year's pre-season, what you can see here from Dwyer is quick feet, good balance and burst.

Mitch, I don't always see eye-to-eye with you, but I agree here. Dwyer was inexplicably underutilized last year. Maybe their line was just that bad.

I don't think he'll star, but he's someone that could easily replicate Mendenhall's production.

I like how he uses his vision and doesn't just accept contact, he tries to avoid it. I hope is does do well in short yardage (as reported) as well. They also say he is good at pass block.

Hey, dawg, m'man, for a #2 RB Dwyer has some upside. He has good feet, that's the main thing. Noticed like you did how he made the first tacklers miss, ones right after the handoff too, which shows good body control. You are right, word is that Dwyer is a man in pass pro. Dwyer has a fan in Mendy who tweeted that this was a very good pickup for the Cardinals.

As for short yardage, I think that will be Stepfan Taylor's role, but I also think that Taylor is going to keep working his way toward more and more touches.Love his toughness and ball security. Plus, he laid some big lead blocks for The Juke during the last few games.

Yes sir, the two backs was nice to see. I hope we see more of that again this year.

From the video he looks good, but was a preseason game agaisnt 3th unit.
Mitch tell me your top3 free agent cb available and the 3 cb u like from draft and fit good in our system.
Thank u

Big Ben was in a couple of the plays, so it wasn't all versus 3rd team defenses---regardless what the tape shows is Dwyer's feet, vision and balance, and that's very positive to see in terms of ability.

UFA CBs:

1. Antonio Cromartie---the hip concerns me, not the player. If the hip is fine, what's great about AC is that he was outstanding as a #2 CB opposite Revis...which he could be opposite Peterson.

When Revis went down, AC took over the #1 in 2012 and had what was quite possibly his best season. So he has shown he can be a very good #2 and #1.

2. Mike Jenkins---his speed is a real asset. He's got all the natural ability, but needs to hone his techniques and become a little more of a ballhawk. Playing with a prolific pass rush in AZ would allow him to be more aggressive.

3. Tarell Brown is my favorite, Juza. He's got very good instincts and is smooth in turning his hips and making plays on the ball.

Draft CBs:

1. Darqueze Dennard---physical press CB who plays with tenacity and high end energy. Yes, he's a bit of a grabber, but so was Peterson at first. But, Dennard plays with good leverage and he will force the run well too...good tackler.

2. Justin Gilbert---reminds me of Mike Jenkins---fast, but needs to hone his techniques---a little undisciplined at times---but can really get to the ball in a hurry.

3. Kyle Fuller---best player few people are talking about, probably because Virginia Tech has had a couple of down years. Fuller has a great feel for the position and a real nose for the ball. Highly competitive. Baits the QB with uncanny success. Has a sense of making the big play when it matters most.

Ginn's contract is up on overthecap.com

Another club friendly contract, and another 3yr but more like a 1 year contract.

1.75mil this season.

4 mil a season after that, but can be cut for savings next year, and the year after.

Sweet deal.

1.25 mil in dead money if cut next year. A really good contact.

These type of contracts aren't possible unless the owner is willing to lay out upfront bonus money. Great job SK and thanks again Michael for being an owner who wants to win.

I am really happy with the way the FO is structuring these contracts. Club friendly and options early in the contracts.

Good job FO.

Agree! That's why it is wise to wait and see the details before saying the Cardinal overpaid. The player gets 3.25 million per year. The team gets the option of cutting him after year one with minimal dead money.

It's a win-win and hopefully Ted Ginn continues to improve as a wide receiver who can stretch the field while excelling as a return specialist.

Good thing we signed him this way. Easy to cut this year. He was not worth the hype he came with. Scared back there all season long.

I was excited when we signed him. I'll be even more excited when we cut his wussy butt.
