Turns out Hopkins was worth a decent pick. Some teams have to be having regrets. Chiefs prime among them.

If he didn’t want to be here that was fine but to not at least get a mid rounds draft pick for him was a crime. Pure incompetence or stupidity.

Definitely not a move that said “It’s okay to lose” this season.
The incompetence is on the end of GMs who didn't make things work to get him. Chiefs would be the #1 seed easily with Hopkins.

Trade deadline wasn't until about a month ago. Certainly the Chiefs would have been a lot more interested in a trade for Hopkins with the way their season has been playing out.

Sure but you would have to assume Hopkins would have even showed up, practiced or even been healthy at this point had the Cards held onto him. He made it known he did NOT want to be here he forced his way out not much Monti could do…
