I still really get a belly-buster laugh whenever I read the title of this thread, "Going to Lindley doesn't look so stupid right now"

Let's see, Lindley's stellar 10 completions of 31 passes with one interception and no TDs graded out to a blazing QB rating of 28.0. Surely Lindley's performances, the past star of the SDSU juggernaut program, must generate the ultimate example of a naive fan who has stuck his foot, his ankle, and the rest of his leg up his mouth while generating a myriad of excuses to parse and explain away his momentary and complete lack (hopefully for him) and absence of any degree of football acumen.

Yall gotta let this one die out. Homie was just documenting that Lindley was playing good that first half, I was saying the same thing, we all were surprised when he took the squad down field. It looked very stupid (the whole Lindley can start and play today thing) went on, but that's on Whiz. We should have known considering who picked him and groomed him...and who he will soon turn his back on.

Whiz sucks, we don't need to paint that fellow poster in a corner just to eat him. We must not turn on eachother, there is plenty of food and water. :D No EMPs are expected. The only thing I'm worried about is a disfunctional lockeroom break out/ epidiemic.

How can you accurately state this is as good Skelton will ever be when Kurt Warner was horrible out of college and was never drafted? He signed as a FA with the Packers and was gone with the first cuts. They actually sent him in to run some pre-season plays and he refused to go in because he did not know the plays. It took him years with the Arena Football and NFL Europe before he developed into the NFL pass defense killer and accurate passer he was when he started his real NFL career with the Rams. BTW, the Rams coach thought Warner was just a decent back-up QB to Trent whatshisname, as he never gave him a real chance to show what he could do in pre-season or in practices. BTW2, Skelton's college career passing completion average is far superior to Lindley's.

Warner was behind Brett Farve, Ty Detmer and Mark Brunell in Green Bay and had only been the starter one year at Northern Iowa. But even as raw as he was Steve Mariucci recognized Warner had great potential but wasn't yet ready for the NFL. Just goes to show that just because a guy is cut from one or two teams it doesn't necessarily mean he can't play.

Today going with Lindley really doesn't look stupid. I hope John Skelton enjoyed playing his last hour and a half in the NFL.
