May God bless you and your family DJ in your grief. My sorrow for you all is profound. No parent should ever have to bury their child.

Still saddens me. He was a great kid. So glad my wife and I got to meet him at a halftime (I think I had met him years earlier at SDS too).

Here's that second pic rotated:

I always admire your posts Dj (even when we stood in obvious disagreement on Leonard Davis).

I can only imagine such pain, and I can't even bear those thoughts for a solid minute. Condolences and much respect to you. I hope you can find peace and always cherish the moments.

I'm gonna make sure I hug my kids and tell them how much I love them tomorrow.

Jesus man, sorry to hear that. As inadequate as the words are: may he rest in peace, and may you find some peace.

Remember how excited he was when Dansby ran in with the game winner vs Green Bay? I try to focus on memories like that. It helps some. Also will always remember how he took the SB tickets to school to show his friends. Only day we didn't have to herd him out the door to get to school on time.

Thanks again for coming to watch the game with us.

That's such a sad story Duck & I'm sorry to just now hear about your loss!!! :(

They say the hardest thing a parent will do is to have to bury a child. One day you will reunite with him & both done Cardinal red again.

Since we've never actually met up is that you with him in the pic?

Yes I'm the old ugly guy in the picture. Ryan was a Freshman at North Texas. I had hoped we could get together to watch a game when I was up there visiting him. We'll still have to do that and drink a toast to him.

Oh no... My condolences. He is in my thoughts, as are you, your family, and anyone else graced by his presence.

There's so little to say sometimes when someone is part of so much.

I'm so sorry, man, I truly am. I remember the good times you helped provide when I was flown out for a game--too bad the weather did me in! Man, why do bad things happen to good people?
