What this team needs is a nice losing streak to wake things up. Philly is a good place to start.

SMH

I can't even begin to understand this attitude.

Why would you follow a team and want them to lose? As a fan this makes no sense to me.

Ask 76ers fans, they'll be able to answer your question.

Even Laker and Celtics fans can probably do it.

So you think the Suns should be tanking?

Huh? How did you get that from the post you quoted of me?

You asked why do teams tank and I gave you sources to use to find the answer.

Just wondering.

You seen to be defending the practice and the context of this thread is about the suns. Personally I would never condone tanking. It promotes a losing environment IMO.

Do you agree with the post I quoted about a losing streak being a good thing for the Suns at this time?

I would rather see the Suns suck and get a top 5 pick than get the #13-#14 pick again. I don't like being mediocre.

reality about sucking at this point is that now is not the time. This team isn't going to be bad enough with this talent to ever get a top 3 pick, so the BEST we can hope for is that everyone plays well and HEIGHTENS their value which would allow us then at some point in the season to make a huge deal with either Dragic/Bledsoe as biggest piece to get a disgruntled big time player from somewhere else.

playing well only ENHANCES our options at this point, not lessens them.

Agreed. Tanking would devalue our assets and makes no sense.

If Horny can make this roster more dependable, fine.

If not, the Front Office should adjust it.

Tank at this point? Out of the question.

This is also true.

lol McDonough. and Hornacek as well.

Problem was giving Bledsoe the ball. Dragic would have been happy to shoot less and have the ball to make plays. Would have solved the offensive problems. This was SO easy to see.

For all those people who were dying to sign Bledsoe in the offseason, I hope you enjoy the future product. Suns will falter badly without Dragic.

You can't falter when you were never good with Dragic.

You don't mean that, do you? When Bledsoe missed half the season last year, Dragic rose to the level of 3rd Team All NBA. And the Suns far exceeded original expectations.

This 3 PG lineup is (understandably) destroying Dragic's stats with the team not being much better, if any, than last season.

I'm sure Dragic feels like the Suns are killing his FA right now.

Way it's going right now, I don't even think Dragic will average 15 pts/game on decent efficiency for the whole season.

For some reason the Bledsoe/Dragic combination is not clicking the way it should. I think there may be question as to who is the leader when they play together. Dragic seems to defer to Bledsoe too much. I think Dragic is the superior PG. When IT plays by himself on the second unit things generally run smoother because there is only one leader.

Conversely I think Bledsoe is trying to prove he deserved his big deal He's forcing things and looks really tight. He's playing hard he just needs to relax.

Dragic needs to be more selfish imo. He's giving it up too much, like you said.

When Bledsoe asks for the ball he needs to just wave him off and tell him

The Bledsoe/Dragic pairing is doing okay, Dragic/Thomas is iffy, all 3 at once is very bad, Bledsoe/Thomas does well together. A corresponding graph shows that Bledsoe/Dragic and the Morrii... and anyone but Plumlee, has been really good. Plumlee rotations have really killed Bledsoe and Dragic's numbers.

I don't think Plumlee sucks but he should be an energy guy off the bench. He is a rich man's Lou Amundson. In there throwing his body around, not having to worry about his constant foul issues and run run running. Len has his own, even more serious, foul issues, so choosing a starter there is not so easy, but with Len starting it would hopefully keep us from getting behind in so many 1st quarters. The Suns may be too worried about Len's foul problems and the psycological effect of him playing scared to start him, its a reasonable fear. But the current starting lineup is one of our least effective groupings, hopefully they make an adjustment there soon, even if it means going small at the start of games with the Morrii and Tucker out there up front.

Maybe you are right about the going small concept to start games but I'm guessing Hornacek is betting Plumlee and Len will improve before playoff time if he sticks with them. I don't like playing IT with another PG.

Funny video.

If Bledsoe wants to prove he is the man and Dragic needs to waive him off, this chemistry experiment may soon come to and end.

i've been saying that when Thomas goes in, both Dragic and Bledsoe need to sub out.

This table also shows that Thomas is the most effective choice for single-PG sets, although the sample size is very small for the other two. (Boy, those 17 Dragic-only minutes sure have been something, haven't they?)

Yeah, I think I saw that those 17 minutes the score was Suns 59, Foes 53. Bizarre stat line.
