Hey, I know that free agency isn't that far away. I wanted to get this out there now.
I promise that I will not freak out about a lack of action by the Arizona Cardinals w/r/t free agency for the first 8 days.
Hopefully, we as fans can make a committment to be patient with the free agency strategy taken by the front office. I know we were all disappointed by the terribleness of Terrance Holt, but the Cards had more hits (Gandy, Hood) than misses in free agency last season.
So, how long can you wait for action?
Great News! Graves/Parker Update

meaning, that they don't think that a deal can be reached.
So, what now?
Now we wait for the draft......
No way Fitz gets cut, so we pay him the 14.6M.
I think someone is about to fall off of the pledge wagon.
(unless you really do think this is "Great News!" )

They start talking again at some point. Then, they will either get a deal done or they won't. Either way, I still expect us to make the playoffs.
One other thing: I don't really think this is a big deal until it comes out publicly that the Cards have allowed Fitzgerald and Parker to seek a trade. He can't really be moved until he comes to a new contract with someone. Teams can't negotiate with Parker unless the Cards give them permission due to tampering rules.
If that comes out, Fitz is gone. In a lot of ways, we'll be re-starting the process all over again.

Absolutely. It's business. The Cardinals have to do what is best for them just as LF does for himself.Or, let the bidding begin. There's more teams than Philly out there. We don't have to make him happy at this point.

The bidding won't begin until next year. There's nothing to bid against when Fitz isn't available. That's like trying to bid for Peyton Manning right now. Pointless when he isn't available.

That said, we really need to press to get this done (the contract). We know that LF is a great NFL player. The draft is a gamble.
I would say that Fitz isn't available just like Shawn Marion wasn't available prior to the Shaq trade. If someone calls with a "knock your socks off" offer, we will listen.

He doesn't mean FA bidding, he means trade bids. The bidding won't begin until next year. There's nothing to bid against when Fitz isn't available. That's like trying to bid for Peyton Manning right now. Pointless when he isn't available.
I don't think that the Cards will be as quick to let Fitz go as the Suns were Marion. If that is what you are saying, I can agree. All I'm saying is if Philly calls and says "Sheppard and two 1st round pick for Fitz", or something of that ilk, a trade would be on the table.I don't think that this is a good analogy.

I know. I'm just giving an example of a situation where the Cards would consider a trade.I don't think that Lito and 2 1sts were ever on the table.
