Ahh yess...

Let's suppose that you are right here. (And I'm not ready to concede even that as fact, just yet)

So now we end up relegated to "a FEW players MAY have quit in part of 2 games".
Even if so, hardly the over-exaggerated claim so many keep making about the situation.
overexaggerated? players quit... what else do you want? a percentage? A number of players that you can divide? next time I will ask that they wear a sign that says "I QUIT!"

If Green were the captain on the Titanic, he'd blame the iceberg.
Darrell Urban - Where are we when we need you?

Bordow does make a valid point - that 3/5 of our offensive line consists of newbies with another 1/5 comprised of a guy playing a new position. But, other than that, I think most of his piece is pure rant and little substance.

This isn't a matter of 3 or 4 rookies being asked to patch up a decimated line. Two of these linemen (Davis and Clement) are experienced bookend types. Another (Wells) is a second year player who earned his way onto the unit and a fourth (Spikes) has plenty of NFL experience. Only Step is a true newcomer to this unit. It should be playing better, and Dennis is right in calling them out.

Besides - If Dennis wants to fire a couple of guys, what's he got to lose - they're playing so sucky anyway that it couldn't get much worse if some changes were made.

I also thinks Bordow misses the point when he criticizes Dennis for not pointing the finger at himself. Green is earmarking a component of the team that needs some serious fixing. That's not merely "assigning blame"; by fixing he means "managing the use resources to maximize effectiveness." That's his job and that's what he should ultimately be held accountable for.

And frankly you could make the point that he should point a finger at himself if he didn't target the offensive line for "fixing", because he'd then be neglecting to fix what's obviously broke.

back to the original post.I'm sure we would've won if we just would've kept Pete Kendall :( .Also, when Green says as a staff we failed that he's including himself as being part of the coaching staff.

We had one of the highest paid Olines the last couple of years and had about the same or worse results. It was very frustrating to listen to the pansy excuses that were being handed out for the oline and the acceptance of poor execution...Green won't put up with it and it's nice to see the change.

The Rams game in St. Louis, The Steelers game in Pittsburgh, etc.

Didn't we get our asses handed to us in the fourth quarter in Chicago, as well? There wasn't a lot of fight left in the D there.

Thats the only game I didn't see last year so I wont comment on it.

Dont forget that horror show in Dallas last year. Two safeties in one game. A truly spectacular failure on the O'line. Makes you wonder how any of those guys kept their jobs.

An angry Green blasted his offense at halftime — “I'm going to fire some guys,” he yelled, according to one player — and lashed out again after the game.

Love that quote, I hated Coach Macs Depth Chart that would not change, no matter how bad the Cards sucked.
