Deek's style was no longer needed. Someone alluded to this a few days ago. We've got leaders like Berry and Chike on the line; we don't need the screamer to motivate them anymore. That was a style fire, not a substance fire. Look for a intellectual/technique style motivator to take over that unit, IMO.

I'm throwing a party re: Lindsay being fired. A big dog-party. Seriously, our line just got better.

I just read some of their bios on www.azcardinals.com. Didn't realize that all three really didn't have much NFL coaching experience before coming to the Cards. Pollard lacked NFL experience, O'Dea was an assistant special teams coach in Detroit, and Lindsay was a freaking player!!!

I am sure it all depends if Bidwill wants to be cheap with coaches or not. Like he was first time around with all these guys were firing. We might have another open competition for Oline Coach in Training camp, whichever player sucks the most and can't make the team, gets to be coach.

Very true but does Bidwill really have a choice? Can he continue to be cheap? If he truly believes that ass't coaching is truly part of the problem then he almost has to fork over the bucks to hire quality coaches because he needs fans in the seats in the new stadium. Or so it would seem lol.

If we're going to get good, proven, coaches then they HAVE to pay better. Green has only two guaranteed years left and no one thinks he can survive another bad season.

Hey, can't stop the run, can't run the ball, and the special teams stink. Who do you fire . . .

Oh yeah, Pollard, Lindsay, and Odea.

I truly think he will. He has been doing a great Job paying players, but now we have talent and no coaches.

Know whats funny, San Diego was top in both, and still missed out on the playoffs.

I strongly believe Mike Tice will be here next season and will get some special title like Offensive Consultant/OLine Coach or some other off the wall title. He will probably have some say so with the TE's as well. Denny is very fond of Mike Tice and I get the feeling that its a shared respect between them. When he doesn't get offered an OC position he'll be in AZ very soon.

Who was KC's Special Teams coach??? He's available now and they have had strong Special Teams play if I recall(although having Dante Hall doesn't hurt).

Also if Jim Haslett is fired what about considering him? He was a successful special teams guy first wasn't he?

As for the DLine I hear Mean Joe Greene is still available....I'm joking of course.

We actually weren't horrible when compared to the rest of the NFL at stopping the run - 10th in rush yards per game and 15th in yards per carry. The problem was we allowed 22 rushing TDs which is tied for the most in the NFL. Our problems in the red zone on both sides of the ball need to be worked out next year or Green will join Lyndsay and ODea in the unemployment line.

Speaking of special teams, has Reggie Swinton been fired yet? I supported him early, but I think he got slower every week.

Barely. The AFC is murderous. Anyone of the six playoff teams from the AFC could reasonably expect to beat SEA. The same could not be said for the NFC and IND.
