Not at all. I'm saying that if a player that ostensibly doesn't have any need whatsoever for the money, but still chooses the money instead of less money, but a greater chance to win, then you can't really talk about how they're all about getting W's. Because if they were all about getting Ws, and not $s, then they'd be playing for less.

I had a lot of respect for guys like Marshall Faulk, Torry Holt, and (to a lesser extent) Issac Bruce for taking less money on extentions in the STL to play for a winner. Rosie Colvin took less money to play for the Pats. Vonnie Holliday took less to play for the Chiefs.

Emmitt didn't go to Arizona because of money. He went to Arizona because he wanted the opportunity to compete for the starting job, and nobody else offered that.

Emmitt has always been motivated by proving people wrong, and he always will be. He could have signed with a better team and been a backup getting five carries per game, but he wanted to show that he could still be a starting running back when a lot of people said he was washed up.
