Agreed, although with Thomas off the books next year when the first pick would come around, it is not as much IMO with the rising cap/lux tax numbers. And in 2010 who knows what the situation would be. It is still a dumb trade, but it was NOT give away Thomas and two picks for nothing. It seems too easy for us here to spend someone elses (in this case a GROUP, not one person) money.

Sending KT and our 2008 pick would have been alright/tolerable with me. The unprotected 2010 pick is what pisses me off. It was extremely hasty, shortsighted, and just bad managing. Seattle bent us over in that one.

I agree. That one wasn't about our capspace directly. That was Seattle hedging unless we did that, obviously. Unfortunately, the tone was set the prior couple of years during the draft, and they knew they had us. :(

Anyone know which picks the Suns actually have from here on out? Until about 2012 or so?

We don't have our 2008 and 2010 pick. As far as I know we have everything else and the Atl. 2008 pick.

for now...

Suns should win this game tonight. It honestly should not even be close if they played hard for the whole game. They are getting paid millions to perform, I think they should realize that and step it up a bit for the final stretch run.

That's not so bad, I guess. For some reason I thought it was a lot worse.

Those 1st rd picks could be worth 1-2 million each depending on where they fall + double them for the luxury tax (assuming we are still over it in 2008 & 2010) and we might be looking at trading Kurt Thomas for a $20 million savings. It really doesn't make it any more acceptable, but at least it's more accurate.
But, what if, instead of making that trade, we sold the two picks again for $3 million each (a market price already established by Phoenix) when those drafts came around. Then keeping KT in the long run would have cost only $10 million, not $16. So if you look at it like that, taking the potential cash value of the picks into consideration, we have saved only $10 million by dealing KT and the two picks.

The difference between this game and last is the fact that Mike Miller will be playing. Probably starting in place of Juan Carlos Navarro (who went off on us last game). We need to keep and eye on those two players while playing rugged D on Rudy Gay

Hey guys,

is it appropriate to call him "Rudy Homosexual" this game?? We need something to keep him from going off on us again

How big would it be for the SUNS to win a few games in a row huh?
It would be soooo nice to smoke the GRIZZ out of the building tonight.

If theres any time to go on a good streak, its now. They need to beat teams like Memphis, New Jersey, Philly, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle, etc for sure. Theres tough games w/ G.S, Boston, Detroit, Houston and Denver also this month, but if they can get on a roll, who knows. If they can go 9-2 the rest of the month, it would be huge.

Dantoni sometimes baffles the hell outta me. He sits Shaq and puts in Diaw. Diaw instantly gives up 4 pts single handedly because he's so horrible on defense.

PUT SKINNER IN INSTEAD!!
