Yakety yak, don't talk back.. The Coasters

With King Curtis on sax. When Curtis died (early 70's), Stevie Wonder did an updated version of Abraham, Martin and John (which included KC's name) at his funeral. Mel Gibson wasn't invited.

I invited Sigourney Weaver to a small intimate gathering... she didn't show.

That's good enough for me MrYeahbut and now I'm a Believer (Neil Diamond didn't Monkee around).

How long before someone thrashes you mercilessly for highjacking this thread? (and for forcing me to participate)

The Girl Who Played With Fire.

I loved all 3 of these movies even though they are have sub titles. Pretty true to the books, imo. I really wanted
to see an American version of the other 2 after Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but the project died somewhere along the way.

"Even though they have subtitles"? Ouch, you deprive yourself from so many good movies if having subtitles is a reason you won't watch something.

I do watch some subtitled movies. my favorite is Amores Perros (Love's a bitch), even though my Spanish is passable, subtitles help a lot for this one.. pretty brutal film, but I recommend it highly.

I won't watch anything with subtitles any more. I just find it too uncomfortable to keep up with the story and it starts feeling like work after awhile. And so, since I watch movies for entertainment and relaxation, that leaves out all foreign movies for me. It's too bad too because there are a lot of Korean movies that look perfect for my tastes. They remind me so much of all the 80's and 90's Hong Kong cinema flicks that I used to love.

Late 90s, early 2000s Korean cinema is fantastic. Some really great sci-fi flicks.

2 of my top 10 films of all time have subtitles (#1 and #2, actually), and another 2 from the top 10 are actually silent films--you can guess who made those.

I'm a fast reader, so maybe that helps.

Is nobody guessing Blown Away?

BIM needs to get on here and reveal it and choose another if nobody gets it. Gotta keep the game moving!

I was kind of shocked no one got it. With all of the talk of Lloyd Bridges in the other thread, I picked a film which he was in with his son, Jeff.
