Hall starting anytime soon.

Max Hall-QB- Cardinals Sep. 20 - 12:03 pm et

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said that Max Hall was inserted into Week 2's game late only because of the lopsided score, not because Derek Anderson was ineffective.
Anderson completed barely over 50 percent of his passes and had two picks, but Hall didn't make a good first impression, getting intercepted on his second of two throws. He still stands an excellent chance at unseating Anderson for the starting job at some point this year.

This is exactly what I figured Whiz was going to say.

Derek Anderson-QB- Cardinals Sep. 20 - 3:02 pm et

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt gave Derek Anderson a vote of confidence Monday, a day after benching him for rookie Max Hall.
"Derek has done a number of good things and made some good throws, and he's missed some throws," Whisenhunt said. "That’s going to happen. As we go forward in this season, we are going to need to hone in better on what we do well and get better at executing those things. That’s what we’ll do… Derek is not getting enough help." It sounds like Whisenhunt is willing to live with Anderson's inaccuracies because of his experience. Hall is still likely to take over at some point.

Whiz has humble pie in the oven. Just a matter of time until he starts dining on it.

Never thought this was a possibility at all at the current moment. Just think it's hilarious that we are considering putting an UDFA as a starter three games in the season let alone his first year in the league. That is the ultimate definition of "trial by fire" and us forfeiting the season, essentially.

Is everything
LOL.

1 for 2 with a Pick-six. Yeah, Hall really earned an oppourtunity to start with that stat line.

But hey, it's not necessarily what you show on the field that matters. He's a leader, and he's leading us right into the toilet.

Later in the game during trash time Billick was saying he asked Whiz about having to play a rookie if DA gets hurt, and apparently his answer was "don't remind me" or something to that effect. If true that really is aggravating. It was his choice to dump Leinart and he says "don't remind me"?? Uggh!!!

Which bodes the question: does this franchise go after a veteran FA or trade for someone in the next couple of weeks?

If Whis is getting cold feet about having a rookie take the reigns for the season, this might be a possibility.

Almost a pick six. It was a bad decision he threw into double coverage and underthrew Fitz where Franks was able to reach up and get the pick.

He had a bad one like that in his first preseason action too.

Is that for real? The official Cardinals site said that?

I can't believe I am going to say this but I am.

Trade for Mike Vick and lets try and save the season. If he's not going to go to Hall now, we might as well try and bring in a vet and Vick looked great this past two weeks.

Too late. No way Philly is going to trade Vick now with the uncertainty concerning Kolb.

You couldn't get Mike Vick out of Philly for a #1 draft pick. And the Bidwill's will NEVER do it.

Anyway, apparently we don't have any rollouts or bootlegs in the playbook. The kind of plays that keep quarterbacks from getting the snot drilled out of them when teams are blitzing up the middle. So Vick couldn't run around and do his thing, anyway.

Should happen.......won't happen. That is not a Bidwillian type of personality...they will never swallow hard and do something like that...the fact of the matter is there is not going to be a quarterback that age who can make an impact available next year in F/A. McNabb will be a F/A.

Vick wins us the division if he came over now, and Reid will not let him go with the uncertainty he faces now.

I don't think there is anyway they give up on Kolb this season no matter what, but I agree that its unlikely the Cardinals would make this move.

Pretty frustrated right now. If Wiz thinks he has more he needs to see of Anderson, he needs to get a lobotomy. There is NO WAY we win ANYTHING of consequence with that joker. I don't care how tough he is.
