I may have worded my argument poorly. IMO, talent closes the gap on experience. A very talented first-round pick playing at a new position should be able to at least narrow the gap on an undrafted or street free agent playing their 8th season.

I'd agree with that. But two preseason games in is a tad premature to be concerned.

And I don't think he's a redshirt. He's going to be a contributor this year. Might be in special packages, might be as situational fisher might be ilb by year's end. But anything short of pro bowl doesn't make him a bust or this year a waste.

Ok, I've joined a group that has a lot of knowledge on history of players and talent. I'm excited to learn from you. I was raised on football having been born in Los Angeles- Go Rams! This Red dude has a learning curve just as anyone would starting a new job. Learning what coaches expect of him, getting through insecurities as he's now playing with the big kids. Let's give him a minute to see if he is gifted with raw athleticism and able to grasp his new position. I believe.

Lmao it's two pre season games. If we're going off the performance of a few pre season games I sure am glad we found our perennial All Pro QB years ago. Can't wait to see how many more Super Bowls Max Hall brings us!
