Best pitcher in baseball. It's amazing that the Diamondbacks continually have the best pitcher in baseball... Johnson, Schilling, Webb, Haren.

Here is to hopes of a continued strong 2nd half and not getting the shaft because Lincecum finishes with more wins.

A healthy Webb + Haren would have been awesome this year. I'm almost ready to count this as a "lost" year and hope for the best next year.

Webb out, Drew injured, Jackson basically out for the season, terrible play by the bullpen, etc. Just has been a bad luck season.

I can't wait to see a Haren-Parker-Scherzer pitching squad. Webb will be gone in the offseason, he will not pitch before the season ends and if he does he won't be the same. His option will most likely not be picked up.

Off topic to the D'backs but I have been following Carlos Gonzalez's career (now with the Rockies). I can't say I regret them making that trade in the least with what Dan Haren has been able to do. The guy hasn't show any power (even in Colorado) and is striking out at the rate of 25% of the time. Also, Dana Eveland has bombed out after his hot start last year.

I'd say this was a pretty lopsided trade in our favor at this point. I still hope Gonzalez can carve out a good career, just not for the Rockies

Haren's performance (and the strong staff in general) gives me reason to think the D-Backs could turn it around next year just by acquiring one more good everyday bat and two half-decent arms for the bullpen. Some of the relievers who are struggling this year could turn it around just by having more defined roles that suits their strength.

I just hope they don't blow it by trying to go after, say, Adrian Beltre or some other free agent that won't be worth whatever they get in the open market.

Let's see Haren continue this in the second half of the season. The next time he has a strong second half will be his first.

Haren has been amazing... but I think you might get some argument from the Lincicum and Halladay camps - and rightfully so.

Well, didn't want to have to do it but you forced me to Gadd... The D-Backs will continue to waste amazing pitching if they do not address the issue in CF, and somehow find more consistent power at First Base. Until this happens, it's gonna remain a very frustrating experience with this team...
