I like this possibility. Everyone has been focused on a big tackle to upgrade the run defence but there hasn't been much discussion (if any) of a monster middle linebacker. Is this guy a first and second down only type or can he pass defend too?

Being an hour from Baltimore, I follow the Ravens closely. Hartwell is a good MLB, but he's a far cry from Ray Lewis. He is very good against the run, but pathetic in coverage. He is not an everydown player, but is an ideal situational player. All this being said, he would be a good pick-up.

I think McKinnon was a good MLB, but not tremendous. Think of all the reserve backs that have rushed for over 100 on us week after week. Some of that has to be laid at the feet of McKinnon. A true run stuffing MLB beast would do wonders for this defense.

in that case he would be a perfect compliment to hayes. Someone to play the run while hayes plays on passing downs.
